Situated within the beautiful grounds of the University of Sydney’s Cumberland campus in Lidcombe, SDN Ngallia offers early childhood education and child care for 47 children per day from birth to school age.
The centre is part of SDN Children's Services, which is a not for profit organisation.
Children and families are supported and encouraged to use the languages they speak at home while at the centre. Our staff members are diverse and speak a range of languages. Our educational program recognises and responds to individual children's strengths, capabilities, culture, interests, current knowledge, ideas and experiences.
We have a in-house cook who prepares fresh and nutritious meals daily.
'Ngallia' means ‘the meeting place of the children’ in the local Aboriginal Darug language.
At SDN, your child is supported by our village.
The SDN village is a caring, inclusive, and supportive community, where your child is the centre of everything we do. We give them the freedom to invent, create, explore, and express their true selves, every day. A place where they can use their voices. And when they do, we listen.
We see the whole child and know that children thrive when we support them to grow caring hearts, healthy bodies, and curious minds.
SDN is committed to being a child safe organisation.
