About Lidcombe Early Learning Centre

Lidcombe Early Learning Centre is an approved long day care centre based in Lidcombe, the western suburb of Sydney. We are owner operated childcare centre catering for infants, toddlers and through to pre-schoolers.

Having two young children of our own, we understand the importance of providing an environment which enables each child to feel safe, secure, and valued much like home. We recognise that the first five years of a child are the most critical period in their life. With the right guidance, nurturing, and environment, we are confident it will help set the right foundation for their physical, emotional and brain development.

Our vision is to assist and support children’s learning and development needs through collaboration and partnership with families and our educators.

Our Centre provides all components necessary to provide this. We work with families in partnership to enhance this process and value the link between home and Centre.

We look forward to being a part of this journey with you and your child. This is our commitment to you.

We are an approved Childcare Centre by the NSW Department of Education. Parents can claim for Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

Meet the team

Meet the team

At Lidcombe Early Learning Centre we have a team of dedicated and enthusiastic educators aimed at providing high-quality Early Childhood Education and Care. With 20 years combined experience in delivering high-quality care and service to our communities, we understand and value the importance of a great start in children’s learning journey.

Our team of educators are genuine and motivated individuals who treat each child equally, strive to meet the needs of each child and most importantly foster respect and empathy as part of their teaching. We see ourselves as advocates for children’s rights and voices, and acknowledges the significance of their presence in their early childhood stage of lives. Our educators share a common goal of being part of shaping each child’s early lives and helping them reach developmental milestones.

Programs

Programs

Lidcombe Early Learning Centre provides educationally appropriate and stimulating programs to assist in the development of the whole child; their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, creative and moral growth. We recognise the value of play in development. Research has found that children attain higher levels of achievement through engaging in play.

Our educational play-based programs assist each child to build and develop at their own individual pace with guidance and support.

We have incorporated an inclusive program to support the needs and creativity of children. Our program aims to be the core of our curriculum and reflects the Early Years Learning Framework – EYLF.

Our curriculum for all rooms, infants 0-2, toddlers 2-3 and pre-schoolers 3-5 years is based on The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. This program is a national Early Learning Framework for children from birth to five years.

Using this framework, educators will observe each child’s learning so they can build on it and plan the next steps. They will do this by listening, watching and talking to your child, and will keep photos and a portfolio of your child’s work to show what they are learning, how they are developing and what particular learning interests them.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

Each age group displays their routine and learning journey in the room and this is available for parents to read, and ask questions regarding it can be answered by the appropriate educator. We use Kinderloop, which allows families to receive instant notifications of their child’s day.

Educators will keep in touch with you regularly to discuss your child’s progress and if they feel there is an area of concern, they will inform you and advise where help may be sought, e.g. speech therapist. It is always your decision to follow this up. Educators are willing to discuss any aspect of development with parents.

My son is nearly 4 and I've just enrolled him into LELC. He was previously in another daycare for 2 months and was anxious and always crying when he goes there. Since I took him to LELC for a tour and had his orientation, he was excited about going to daycare. I can feel that teachers were especially kind and genuinely care for the kids and I am confident he is in great care! There are lots of activities to choose from for free play, and I think that will help my son to explore his interest. The giant sandpit in the middle looks amazing too, I'm sure he will come back dirty with sand soon and I won't complain 😉 Thank you team for an amazing experience so far!

An incredible centre with a stimulating learning environment. I’m so impressed by the intention behind the daily activities and how they align with my daughters' developmental milestones. The communication through the app is excellent, keeping us updated on the daily progress. Thank you. Jio's Dad.

Our daughter is with ELC from 2 months now. I can see from photos she has been enjoying her time in ELC doing various activities with her peers. Jenny and Danielle have done a wonderful job with Celine. I can see progress everytime I pick her up. Annie has been great help, assisting us on the process of childcare which I find it quite daunting. Aside from the food option, I am very pleased with ELC.
