Beyond providing wholesome food, we use mealtimes as learning opportunities. Children practice independence by serving themselves and engaging in conversations about food, building confidence and understanding of healthy choices.

Sending Vikrant to childcare for the first time was honestly very hard for both me and Monica. He is our first child, and until then he had pretty much always been with us. Suddenly leaving him somewhere for hours and walking away.. I think any first-time parent will understand that feeling.

We were probably more nervous than Vikrant was!

Because of that, we were quite particular about choosing the right place. We visited four childcare centres and even sent Vikrant to another centre for a few days as a trial. Eventually we came to Guardian, and something just felt right.

Ravjit was lovely from the beginning. She showed us around, introduced us to Vikrant’s room, the educators, outdoor play area, kitchen and chef, and made us feel comfortable with where Vikrant would be spending his day.

But for me and Monica, the biggest reason we became comfortable with Guardian was Soyoung, Emiliana and Danny.

You can have the newest childcare centre, the nicest rooms and the best facilities, but at the end of the day, what really matters is the people who are actually with your child.

Soyoung, Emiliana and Danny are always happy, playful and energetic with the kids. It doesn’t feel like they are just doing a job. There is genuine affection there, and you notice it in the smallest things.. how they talk to the kids, comfort them, play with them and know their little habits.

That was probably the biggest thing that convinced me and Monica that Vikrant was in the right hands.

We noticed this because we had tried another centre before Guardian. It was newer and probably looked better on paper, but the experience felt a little more transactional. Nobody was doing anything wrong.. you can just feel the difference between someone doing their job and someone genuinely enjoying being with your child.

At Guardian, we strongly felt the latter.

These educators are genuinely happy people, and I think that matters. When you are happy and settled yourself, it naturally flows into how you care for others. That also speaks highly of the management. Supported educators make a huge difference, and children feel that energy too. We had heard a lot about educator turnover in childcare, so having familiar, happy faces around Vikrant has meant a lot to us.

Another thing that matters a lot to me personally is the effort everyone has put into Vikrant’s eating.

Vikrant is a very happy and social kid, but he can definitely be a picky eater! Soyoung, Emiliana, Danny, Swati and the wider team have gone above and beyond to make sure he eats. They keep trying, encouraging him and finding different ways to feed him rather than simply saying, “We offered, but he didn’t want to eat today.” And THAT EFFORT MEANS A LOT TO US.

And there is one thing Emiliana did that me and Monica will always be thankful for.

After knowing Vikrant for some time, she noticed that his energy had gone down and his eating had changed. She suggested that we speak to our GP and check his iron levels.

We did.. and his blood test showed that his iron was actually low.

Honestly, we probably wouldn’t have thought of checking it if Emiliana hadn’t noticed the change in him. We addressed it, and since then we have seen a noticeable difference in Vikrant.

The fact that she knew Vikrant well enough to notice something like that means a lot to us as parents.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for quite some time, and this is genuinely coming straight from the heart.

Vikrant will soon move into the next room at Guardian, and of course me and Monica will probably be nervous all over again! But this time we have a lot more confidence because of the experience we’ve had so far. We really hope he continues to receive the same love, attention, care and playfulness in his next room.

So a very, very big thank you to Soyoung, Emiliana, Danny, Swati, Ravjit and Joan, and everyone else at Guardian who looks after Vikrant and makes his days there happy.

We just hope Vikrant, and all the little kids there, continue being happy, playful and loved. ❤️

My son has been at Guardian since he was just 12 months old, and now at 3 years old, it honestly feels like the educators and carers have become part of our family.

When we first started, there were some challenges with management and moments when I questioned whether we should stay. But the reason we did was the carers. The love, care and genuine connection they had with my son was something I couldn't walk away from. They've watched him grow from a baby into the little boy he is today, and that is incredibly so special to us.

Over the years we've seen such a positive change in the centre. From Robert Shin to now Joan Bautista, the leadership has evolved and I genuinely feel the team is stronger than ever. The care, communication, daily updates and sense of community are amazing.

A very special thank you to Mama Jin, Rosemary, Emiliana, Danny, Rebecca, Draksha, Meera, Lyra, Devi, Alice and Anna. ❤️ You have each played such a special part in my son's life. The love, patience and care you've shown him means more to our family than you probably realise.

After more than two years, these aren't just his carers anymore — they feel like family. Knowing that my son is happy, safe and genuinely loved when I leave him each day means everything to me as a mum.

I couldn't recommend Guardian and this beautiful team enough.

We’ve had such a lovely experience with this daycare. Our little one was a very sensitive baby when he first started, and we’re so grateful to Mama Jin, Hannah and Rujitha for being so patient and caring while helping him settle into Nursery 1. Any time I was worried, Mama Jin would always reassure me, which meant so much during those early days.

Now in Nursery 2, he absolutely loves going! He has made so many little friends and often talks about them at home. Soyoung, Danny and Emiliana have been wonderful, and he even considers Soyoung one of his friends, which is so sweet and says a lot about the bond they’ve built.

It’s been so lovely watching him grow from a sensitive little baby into a happy, confident toddler who enjoys all the fun, play and learning daycare brings. We’re very grateful to all his educators! ❤️

We’ve sent our 16 month old to Guardian Homebush since he was 9 months old, and the only regret we have is that we didn’t start sooner! Mama Jin and Hannah have been an absolute delight, and helped our baby adjust to the new environment in a thoughtful and gentle manner. I love the photos they upload every day- the activities and play throughout the day seem so well planned and the kids look so happy. We’ve recently increased our days due to how happy our bub is, and are so grateful that we have such a warm and loving environment for him to call his second home. Hannah was even one of his first words! Thank you thank you thank you Mama Jin and Hannah!!

We are very happy with this childcare centre. It was recommended by a friend and has exceeded our expectations. Our daughter loves attending and always comes home happy. The educators are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing and development. When we pick her up each day, she often doesn’t want to leave because she is having so much fun. One of our daughter’s friends has graduated but still comes back to visit the teachers, which says a lot about the strong relationships they build. We truly appreciate the team’s hard work and highly recommend this centre to any family looking for quality childcare.
