It is our aim at Kinda-Mindi Early Learning Centre Homebush, to promote creativity, motivate, and challenge children in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. Respectful and reciprocal relationships are the building blocks of who we are as an organisation. Fostering sincere relationships which are formed between children, families, educators, and the wider community see us as being able to create a sense of belonging and security to all engaged within our Early Learning Centre.

Our centre’s curriculum is guided by the elements of the Early Years Learning Framework – Learning Outcomes, Practices and Principles. Through a play-based curriculum, we aim to create confident, resilient children who are open to new opportunities and experiences.

We encourage children to be responsible for their own learning by investigating and questioning themselves and their surroundings in order to expand their curiosity and reach their full potential. We also encourage children to share interests and curiosities, socialise, express emotions and above all, have fun whilst our qualified educators provide support through intentional teaching to complement their current projects and interests. We believe this provides a solid base for each child’s further education including a positive transition to school.

The educators at Kinda-Mindi Homebush are passionate about providing quality care and education. They are qualified, highly trained and encouraged to engage in ongoing learning and development. 

We have a high number of Early Childhood Teachers at our service and our team speaks a variety of languages such as Cantonese, Mandarin, Indonesian, Telugu , Hinidi and Italian. 

The educators are supported by a management team that oversees the smooth running of the centre. They continually review policies and procedures to ensure effective operations and a safe environment for the children, families and staff. 

All the staff at Kinda-Mindi Homebush work within the framework of professionalism and ethical conduct to make it a loving, caring and secure place to be. 

Children are at the core of our practices, and these are fostered through our School Readiness curriculum, which starts from birth. Our curriculum involves the active engagement of the children, providing nurturing and emotionally supportive relationships with our early childhood educators. The learning environments are set up in a way that encourages the children to resource their own learning, meaning they are given opportunities to play and learn independently and with each other. The program is responsive to cultural diversity, fosters social, emotional skills whilst promoting early literacy and numeracy skills.

At Kinda-Mindi children are provided with nutritionally balanced meals created by our in-house cooks. We recognise the importance of healthy eating for the growth, development, and wellbeing of young children and are committed to promoting and supporting healthy food and drink choices for children in our care.

We believe in providing a positive eating environment and our menu reflects dietary requirements, cultural and family values, and promotes lifelong learning for children.

We use a variety of means to communicate with families, our main source of communication is through Kinderloop. We use Kinderloop to send families information about centre events, reminders and newsletter items. Each room also uses Kinderloop for information sharing, group and individual observations, and reflections.

We encourage our families to be involved in the centre's curriculum planning by sharing skills , hobbies, knowledge and experience in areas like music, craft, cooking, storytelling, and culture. Family's contributions of ideas, experiences and skills are highly valued here at Kinda-Mindi and we welcome you to be involved and contribute to our curriculum.
