We were looking for a local child care centre for our daughter and approached Sanctuary. My first impressions were largely quite positive. The then Director, Brit was very thorough with her walk through of the centre and their offerings. We had a couple of stay and plays, the first we spent some time with Steph and we could tell she was very passionate. The second visit in November was quite the opposite and red flags appeared. We learnt that Steph had moved onto another role and wouldn’t be in the room, so we took steps to try and engage with the broader team. The staff were not as engaging, and when I asked what a normal day looks like their response was that they’d put my child in a bouncer in the corner given how little she is (and that would be her day) - I said that based on my observations there were children throwing toys at one another and hitting one another (staff weren’t responsive), and asked who would be watching that my child would be out of harms way given she’s quite young and the other children seem quite older and rough with supervision minimal. The respond we received was that “we do our best but we can’t guarantee supervision because we can’t have our eyes on every child”. The next red flag was a child standing on a seat quite unbalanced - had they have fallen back would have been quite injured. The staff member who was within a metre away took 5 minutes before they even took action to support the child down. The rugs and furniture were very dirty and stained - despite reassurances in our first visit they are all cleaned regularly. There were some quite sick children. One child was left unsupervised crawling from the room to outside on concrete with no coverings on their arms or legs - it concerned me that that poor little child would have had grazes and sores from the concrete - staff just walked around and did nothing to ensure the safety and wellbeing of this child. The toys were in shambles missing pieces, and books absolutely destroyed with pages missing. Overall not a great experience and I’d highly recommend to look around at other options in the area.

We have been part of Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure Maudsland for a couple of years now, and it has been such a welcoming and inclusive centre for our son. The educators are warm and supportive, and the focus on hands-on play makes learning exciting and meaningful for the children. We have been so happy being part of this wonderful community!

From the moment you first walk through the front door, you're greeted with nothing but smiley faces and calm vibes. I never knew the energy in a Child Care Centre could actually be relaxing, but it truly is. There is no stress, no rushing, even on the toughest of mornings with our little one the staff know exactly how to support him with the transition & they're brilliant at keeping us up to date on his day to day activities. Having our second bub starting next week doesn't come with the anxiety I thought I would feel, because I know after having our stay and play sessions that she is going to be so well looked after. Thank you to the entire team for making the transition to a new centre so easy & comfortable. ❤️

Absolutely love Sanctuary! The educators all genuinely love and care for each child, know their routines and are so communicative with us. Most of all our daughter is so happy here - 100% recommend Sanctuary to anyone looking to place their child in daycare

We are so happy having our 14 month old son in this daycare! I was hesitant about daycare and going back to work when he first started at around 10 months but he has absolutely thrived being in daycare. The carers always have new daily activities for all of the babies and kids and he’s gone from crawling to practically running around and we see that a massive part of this has been from watching the older kids at daycare. All of the educators know him by name and he waves to and remembers all of his carers. Thank you so much to everyone at Sanctuary Early Learning! ❤️ It means so much knowing he’s having a great day and we don’t have to worry 😊

Sanctuary early learning Maudsland is an amazing centre. The care and dedication to the kids is awesome and it’s great to see the activities and engagement with the kids day by day. I would highly recommend these guys

I’m so happy with my decision to send my son to Sanctuary Maudsland. I had done tours of 3 other centres before this one and each time I left feeling uncomfortable with putting my son in care. However, once I stepped into Sanctuary Maudsland I was instantly at ease. The staff are caring and supportive and have gone out of their way to provide opportunities for my son to thrive. He needs additional support with his speech delay and the educators will actively work with his speech therapist to incorporate new strategies to help him express himself and catch up with his peers. I am so grateful and I can’t recommend Sanctuary highly enough.

Very happy with Early Learning Sanctuary at Maudsland. We have quite a few closer daycares but dont want to save on the travel for the care of the staff. We feel listened to if there are any concerns and our little one loves going to daycare with his educators and friends.

Couldn’t be happier that we chose this centre, the staff are all amazing and really take the time to build connections with all of the children. My boys love the centre and their educators!
