About Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct

Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure is excited to announce the opening of our brand new child care centre on the Gold Coast, known as Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct. Featuring a world class design, the centre will cater for children from six weeks to five years, providing a fully inclusive and accessible space, prioritising every child's unique needs and abilities.

The centre is conveniently located close to the G:link tram, public transport and in walking distance to Gold Coast University Hospital, Griffith University, Gold Coast Private Hospital and the Smith Collective. Only streets away from Smith Street, the centre is perfectly positioned for families using this arterial on their daily commute to and from work.

Wide, open outdoor spaces

We love the feel of our natural environment and have carefully curated our playscapes with native plants, boulders and well-established trees - bringing the feel of the hinterland into the centre. The design of our wide and open verandas was created as a connector to this green space; allowing our children to feel a part of nature while being inside.

The building design incorporates universal access throughout the entire space which provides a smooth and seamless surface, inspiration sought from our collaboration with LMS Architects from the Ed Roberts Campus in Berkley, USA.

A uniquely collaborative approach

Years in the making, Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct has seen collaboration from various industries and specialist agencies/organisations including Economic Development Queensland and Griffith University and Cody QJ Goldberg, Founder and Executive Director of US based Harpers Playground, to truly make this centre one of a kind: to deliver a best-in-class service; for all children.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

At Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure, we believe that all children are capable and competent. Our philosophy guides our curriculum in a way that enhances independence in life skills from a young age.

We set the foundations for learning and create opportunities to build self-worth and confidence within a safe and secure environment by positioning each child’s perspective as a valid and meaningful way to drive decision making in all that we do. We value what matters to our children and listen with intent – this is shown in how we wrap the curriculum around our children’s ideas, thinking and perspectives.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

“Our philosophy comes from our impassioned belief that education in the early years creates the foundation for learning in the future of young minds
Our commitment to every child and their family is to provide the highest quality educational programs and exciting environments to explore and play, leaving each with a lifelong foundation for continual learning.”

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

At Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure each child’s cultural and nutritional needs are catered for, with all meals cooked onsite daily by a qualified cook and provided as part of the fees. The menus are guided by the Nutritional Guidelines Australia, and in line with Eat Well Australia.

The educators make the most of meal and snack times to discuss food and produce with the children, and use vegetables grown at the centre in their cooking. Sanctuary HKP’s menus are thoroughly reviewed by Paediatric Dietitian and nutritionist Jodie Wilson from The Dietitian Studio.

I'm so grateful to have found Sanctuary HKP! Their heart-centred philosophy and values are truly changing the face of education within the sector. The team of educators are exceptional - warm, loving, nurturing, kind and dedicated. My little one adores her educators and thrives in the engaging programs and experiences they offer. I highly recommend Sanctuary HKP to any parent seeking a safe, supportive, and loving environment for their little one, or any educator who is looking for a place to call home. You'll feel like you've found your second family!

I couldn't be happier with the care and support provided by Sanctuary Health Precinct. The staff are incredibly attentive and genuinely care about the unique needs of each child. My son is on the ASD spectrum, and they ensure his individual needs are met with care and understanding. Highly recommended! Laura Rocha
