​I am writing this review to share my deeply concerning experience with Little Zak's Academy Bomaderry, where my child attended for just over 12 months. During this time, I witnessed and experienced multiple unsafe practices, medical negligence, and a shocking lack of accountability from management.<br><br>​My son suffered a fall and hit his head on a rock located right next to the sandpit. While I was verbally notified of the fall on the day, I was not provided with an incident report to review or sign. Two days later, the centre called to inform me he was highly unwell with a severe fever. It was only then, as I was frantically rushing to pick him up and take him to the hospital, that they handed me the incident report to sign. Driven by panic, I signed it without reading it thoroughly.<br>​At the hospital, doctors urgently asked what first aid had been administered by the centre following the head injury two days prior. Because the centre withheld the documentation on the day of the accident, I had no answers for the medical team. My son's condition deteriorated so rapidly that he developed orbital cellulitis and came incredibly close to being airlifted to a children's hospital.<br>​When I confronted the Director about this catastrophic breakdown in procedure, the response was appalling. Instead of taking responsibility, management deflected the blame onto my child and cited government regulations requiring natural rocks in playgrounds. I strongly believe this incident was never properly logged internally, and I have since escalated this matter directly to the Early Learning Commission.<br>​<br>​The safety failures did not stop there. During our time at the centre, I personally witnessed:<br>​Gross Lack of Supervision: Educators regularly left groups of 4 to 8 children completely unattended in a buggy outside while they went indoors to change nappies.<br>​Ingestion Hazards: Children were frequently seen sucking on bottles of sunscreen and other chemical/cream bottles without intervention from staff.<br>​<br>​Over the 12 months, I was forced to take my child to the GP 14 separate times due to the centre claiming he was too unwell to attend.<br>​They frequently called me to collect him for a "fever," yet he showed zero lethargy or elevated temperature upon pickup or once we got home.<br>​A single loose bowel movement was instantly categorized as "gastro," triggering a mandatory 48-hour exclusion period.<br>​In all 14 instances, our GP thoroughly assessed my child and confirmed he was in perfect health. It became blatantly obvious that the centre was manufacturing illnesses to send children home and manipulate ratios due to chronic staff shortages, leaving parents paying for days their children were unjustly excluded.<br>​<br>​The physical environment of the centre was frequently distressing. Every afternoon upon arrival, the smell of dirty nappies inside the building was completely overwhelming. My son consistently returned home with severe nappy rash, a clear indicator that routine nappy changes were either delayed or handled with poor hygiene practices.<br><br>​Attempting to communicate with administration was impossible. Emails routinely went unanswered, and the accounts representative was perpetually "on leave," never returning phone calls or messages. To make matters worse, the centre unauthorizedly debited over $1,000 from my account for fees I did not owe. It took three days of stressful pursuit just to have my own money returned.<br>​<br>​This centre has demonstrated a systemic failure to provide basic care, supervision, and administrative honesty. The physical and emotional toll this place took on my family was immense. If you value your child’s physical safety, medical well-being, and your own financial security, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.

My 2 children go to Little Zaks in Bomaderry. I am so forever grateful for all the staff and teachers hard work and dedication. I feel safe with my kids being there, they come home with wonderful stories and always excited to go back the next day. They have learnt so much from being there. I couldn't ask for better. I will miss this day care when my youngest goes to school. Thanks little Zaks Bomaderry. You guys are absolutely gorgeous 🩷🙌✨️

My daughter is so happy going to this centre. She loves all the teachers and staff. The staff are amazing, thoughtful and very supportive in all things. The chef is always making amazing healthy food. My daughter is learning and accomplishing many key skills for kindergarten next year and im very happy with the care and support my little one receives from everyone. Great teachers. Great staff. Great centre.

I highly recommend Little Zak’s Academy Bomaderry. Being new to the area and a first-time mum, I wanted the best daycare for my daughter. When I attended our orientation day at Little Zak’s, I was welcomed by lovely staff who showed me around and reassured me every step of the way. From that day on, I knew this was the right place for us. My daughter has now been attending for a year and a half and absolutely loves it. She has built such strong relationships with her amazing teachers, and drop-offs are so easy because she feels comfortable and happy there. The level of education is fantastic too, she has learned so much in such a short time. If you’re struggling to choose a daycare, I can honestly say this one won’t disappoint.

Recently had a tour with these guys and I absolutely loved it! So excited for my little one to start.

My daughter will be starting here at the end of the year and after doing a tour of the centre, especially the 0–1 room, I feel really confident in our choice. It’s such a calm, nurturing environment. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming, and the director and 2IC were incredibly helpful and supportive. It really gave me peace of mind knowing she’ll be in such a caring place. I’d happily recommend this centre to other families.
