After spending 5 years at our previous childcare centre on the Gold Coast, moving to Mackay and having to place our trust in a whole new centre and team of educators was incredibly daunting. We didn’t make the decision lightly. When you’ve entrusted people with your babies for so many years, starting over again is a HUGE deal.<br><br>But from the moment we walked through the doors of Eden Academy Kerrisdale, something about this place completely stole my heart. And I can confidently say it has been one of the best decisions we’ve made since moving to Mackay.<br><br>Where do I even begin??<br><br>Chloe and Sam, the centre directors, are absolutely incredible. Their warmth, genuine care and unwavering support set the tone for the entire centre. You can tell this isn’t simply a job to them. They genuinely care about the children, families and the beautiful environment they’ve created.<br><br>And then there’s Mr Chris, the chef! Always going out of his way to make sure Freya gets her Red Apple in the morning on her way to the rooms. Dropping everything to get one from the fridge if the fruit bowl doesn't have one 🥹. The effort and love that goes into the children’s food is next level. He even prepares meals for our girls to take home on Thursday nights!<br><br>Our little Hannah is absolutely adored by Miss Lisa, Miss Jayde and Miss Suzi in JK2. These ladies are some of the sweetest, most nurturing educators we’ve ever met. Knowing our little girl is surrounded by so much love, patience and genuine affection means more than I could ever put into words.<br><br>Miss Shannon, Miss Makala and Miss Jessie are nothing short of magical with Freya in the kindy room. The experiences, creativity, attention to detail and effort they pour into the children’s days are incredible. They’ve created such a beautiful environment for our Freya to learn, grow and thrive.<br><br>But what really stands out is that the kindness doesn’t stop with our girls’ educators. Every single staff member goes out of their way to smile, say hello and make you feel welcome as you walk through the hallways. There’s such a beautiful sense of community throughout the entire centre.<br><br>The rooms are always so clean, beautifully presented and genuinely smell like walking into a candle store 😍 It’s the attention to detail that gets me every time!<br><br>To Chloe, Sam and every single educator and staff member at Kerrisdale, thank you for loving our girls, making our family feel so welcome and making such a big transition feel so incredibly easy.<br><br>Tiahna, Aaron, Freya & Hannah<br>The Dynamic Shade Family<br>❤️

Can not recommend enough , my daughter and myself are very happy with the centre and the service that all educators provide. My daughter has been at Eden for 2 years now, she has 5 favourite educators in her current - Pre Kindy room , 2 from Junior get a high mention. Miss Claudia, Miss Hayley, Miss Jade, Miss Lisa, Miss Ann. They are so courageous, kind and caring and my daughter just LOVES them so much. The reception staff Miss Chloe and Mr Sam are very warm and welcoming and always happy to not just listen but help and be there for all parents and staff. They are all very professional at what they do, especially keeping the centre very clean and in immaculate condition. And Chris the Chef needs the biggest mention as he is the best cook for the children, maintains hygiene and cooks to all children’s requirements , and does so well to bake and leave little snacks for parents and children of an afternoon.<br>Big high five to this centre, again can not recommended them enough ! 🩵

Great care of my kids! The educators are always happy to provide updates and are proactive in keeping me informed whenever necessary. The centre is consistently clean, well maintained and welcoming, which gives me confidence that my kids are being well cared for.<br><br>A big shout-out to the Nursery 2 team, who acted incredibly quickly during an emergency involving my child. They handled the situation promptly and professionally, providing amazing care and support throughout. I’m extremely grateful for how they responded and the genuine care they showed.

We have been so happy with our experience at the centre and the care our son receives. Mrs Montana, Mrs Vera, Miss Meghan and Miss Telisha are all so caring and wonderful with him, and it gives us such peace of mind knowing he is happy and well looked after.<br><br>We love the daily updates and photos, the great communication and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s so reassuring to know he is genuinely cared for and known by his educators. We’re very grateful to the whole team for everything they do!

We cannot fault the care our daughter receives. A hugely welcoming environment where every staff member is caring and will greet you and your child with a smile. The toddler room is amazing and our daughter absolutely loves her teachers Rori, Cleo and Chelsea who go above and beyond and we can drop her off knowing she is in amazing hands!!

I always feel welcome coming in to collect my grandchildren. Miss Mikala and Miss Erin.B help ensure the kids belongings are together and they are ready to go. All staff are great.

Centre feels welcoming and staff always helpful. When collecting my grandchildren Miss Mikala and Miss Erin.B are always happy to help and give me a run down of the boys days.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐<br><br>We honestly cannot speak highly enough of Miss Jade, Claudia & Hayley. ♥️ They have been such incredible educators for Ruby throughout her time in Pre-Kindy at Eden Academy Kerrisdale.<br><br>From the very beginning, Miss Jade, Claudia & Hayley have taken the time to genuinely get to know Ruby, understand her little personality, interests and needs, and build such a beautiful, trusting relationship with her. You can see how much Ruby loves and trusts them, and that means absolutely everything to us.<br><br>What makes these educators so special is that they havent just built a relationship with Ruby, they have built a wonderful relationship with our whole family. They communicates with us, keep us involved, listen to us and makes us feel comfortable knowing that Ruby is happy, supported and cared for while she’s there.<br><br>Ruby has grown so much in confidence, independence and her love of learning, and we truly believe the positive relationship she has with the girls has played such a huge part in that.<br><br>Miss Jade, Claudia & Hayley are all incredibly caring, patient, nurturing and genuinely passionate about the children in their care. They go above and beyond, and it is so clear that they put their heart into what they do.<br><br>We are so grateful that Ruby has had these educators as her Pre-Kindy teachers!! Since moving my daughters to Eden, I have noticed such a massive difference in their skills, confidence and overall development. I genuinely couldn’t ask for a better team to have caring for my girls.<br>I absolutely love the educators in both the Pre-Kindy and Kindy rooms. Miss Shannon in the Kindy room is absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t ask for a better teacher for my girls. Her support educators are also fantastic and make such a wonderful team.<br>Claudia, Hayley, Jade and Jessie are all absolutely fantastic with my girls. They are so caring, patient and understanding, especially when it comes to helping the girls work through their emotions. I always feel completely at ease knowing my daughters are in their care, because I know they are being looked after with genuine kindness and understanding.<br>I also have to give a huge shout-out to the chef! He is always so polite, welcoming and friendly, always saying good morning when we arrive and goodbye when we leave. You can genuinely see the effort that goes into providing fresh food and encouraging the children to try different foods and flavours.<br>I also really love that Eden incorporates cultural learning and activities into the children’s experiences. It’s such a beautiful addition to their learning and development.<br>Overall, I honestly couldn’t ask for a better team. Every person mentioned above has made such a positive difference to my girls, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care, patience and effort they put into them every day.<br>Thank you to the entire Eden team for everything you do! ❤️

Have loved having my child attend Eden Academy Kerrisdale. He loves going to school and all the staff here are amazing, for us specifically the kindy room teachers Shannon, Jessie, Montanna, Mikala, Erin W. They were also extremely supportive with the extra support in toileting we needed with our son and have helped us kick our goals to get him to prep next year. Special mention to Jade in Pre K as well who welcomed us in for our first year at Eden and of course Sam and Chloe for their welcoming happy faces at the front desk every morning and afternoon.
