Lovely kinder, warm environment, teachers and community

My child cannot wait for kinder days. They count down in between and discuss what plans they have made for their next session. Painting with Heidi, making bread rolls with Jo, learning from friends on the monkey bars. A truly nurturing space and community I feel so grateful to be part of.

Such a wonderful and nurturing kinder. The staff are amazing and the indoor and outdoor environment is so calming with gorgeous resources for play. The program is inspired by the Steiner philosophy of teaching and is just beautiful. My daughter went here for three and four year old kinder.

Beautiful kindie, my daughter had an amazing 2 years at Yandell. We felt so supported by the teachers and the community. A very gentle and loving space, which is perfect for these early tender years! I can’t wait for my youngest to be old enough to join Yandell!

I feel so blessed to have my boy attend Yandell, this kinder is by far the most supportive and caring kinder I know which is also steiner based. The teachers are extremely supportive to intergrate the 3year olds in way that intuned to what each individual child needs. The community is open and warm and is not only a space for the child but for their families too.

I absolutely love this Kinder, the Steiner philosophy flows through to everything they do and you can see how this is such a huge benefit to the kids. There are chickens, a thriving vegetable and flower garden and the educators are of the highest standard, so friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely caring with the children. I feel very lucky to have been able to get a placement for my daughter, an absolute hidden gem ✨

My daughter has absolutely flourished at Yandell Kindergarten! We have loved every moment. The teachers are kind and nurturing, allowing the children to be themselves and gently support their development, creativity and imagination. The toys are all made of natural materials. Fresh, nutritious organic food is provided every session, such as the bread the children make together with the teachers and eat fresh from the oven. The end of term festivals that celebrate the seasons is just gorgeous. The Winter Solstice festival being the highlight so far where the kindergarten was lit up with so many glowing candles and lanterns by night and we all shared a hearty soup made by the teachers out of vegetables the children all brought. It was absolutely magical. Yandell is such a special and unique place, there is just no place like it. We are so fortunate to have found this beautiful kindergarten.

Yandell Kindergarten is such a blessing to my local community. One of just 3 public Steiner kindergartens in Melbourne, I don’t take it for granted that my children have been able to experience this educational opportunity so close to our home. Dedicated teaching staff, home like atmosphere with well considered open ended natural toys, beautiful outdoor space amongst the gums, organic food program, seasonal festivals and magical circle times. My girls and I will always cherish our years at Yandell.
