Mission
“To encourage children to learn and grow by creating a warm and secure environment that promotes children’s independence, critical education and supports families along that journey.”
Our Philosophy
Mickey’s World is committed to creating a welcoming home-like environment that reflects the diverse values of children, families, staff and the wider community.
They believe that when children are motivated and encouraged, they will rise up to challenges and high expectations that are held for successful achievement in learning and development. Through their program, they acknowledge the NSW Curriculum Framework and the national Early Years Learning Framework, with specific emphasis on play-based learning, and recognises the importance of communication and language (including early literacy and numeracy) and social and emotional development. They believe that childhood is a journey, not a race, encouraging active exploration and inquiry and value creativity and diversity.
The staff at Mickey’s World work together as a team to provide and maintain a friendly, caring, clean, welcoming and stimulating environment where children are free to explore and learn through play and with our safe surroundings.
