Programs

Programs

At KU Georges Hall, teachers and educators present stimulating and fun play-based programs designed to build happy, confident, and active learners. The caring and committed team of early learning professionals focus on holistic development, with programs spanning early numeracy and literacy, music, yoga, gardening and sports.

Preschool

Preschool programs are led by university qualified Early Childhood Teachers and designed to spark children’s natural curiosity. The centre provides meaningful experiences for children that help them build confidence by encouraging them to be active participants in their own learning.

Program activities include gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing.

Special Interest

In addition to the high quality well-rounded preschool program, KU Georges Hall offers special interest programs in health and wellbeing.

The centre incorporates this into children’s daily routines and assists families and children in making healthy food choices by participating in the ‘Munch and Move’ program. Children also help planting and maintaining the vegetable gardens, and harvesting produce for centre meals, which enhances their knowledge of healthy food choices.
