About Little Scholars Burleigh

Little Scholars Burleigh holds the Exceeding NQS rating and something else worth knowing about: the largest outdoor childcare playground on the Gold Coast.
Set on Tallebudgera Creek Road in the heart of West Burleigh, this campus was designed for children who need space to properly run, climb, explore, and be. The outdoor environment includes a treehouse, bike tracks, mini golf, beehive, vegetable gardens, water park, and sensory gardens — all surrounded by open natural spaces that invite curiosity every single day.
Our Bush and Beach Kinder program takes children beyond the playground and into the incredible natural world right on our doorstep. An on-site chef prepares nutritious, home-style meals daily. Extracurricular activities — yoga, music, STEM, dance, languages, cooking — are included at no extra cost. And the Family Time Program means the mental load of family admin doesn't have to land on your weekend.
Exceeding NQS. Family-owned. A campus that genuinely feels like it was built with love. Come and see what we mean — tours available anytime.

Our educators and staff are here to help your little one to feel safe, happy and engaged.

Our campus manager is here to greet families and answer any questions you may have. If you don't immediately see them, you'll likely bump into Anna, our 2IC, who is here to make your day easier and your child's day brighter.

For our kindergarten children, our early childhood teachers will help your child develop all the necessary skills they can take with them as they confidently transition to prep.

In your child's studio, there is a lead educator and supporting educators to support your child's early education. Our Little Scholars’ mission is to deliver the highest quality early childhood educational experience imaginable for children and families. It is the people who make our learning environments so memorable, and it is thanks to our kind-hearted, passionate, and qualified educators who help make this possible for our Little Scholar children and families.

We have established a family-like environment where Little Scholars Early Learning is committed to ensuring all our educators have access to on-going support and training, they require to further support their professional development, and we provide every educator the opportunities they desire to reach their highest possible potential as an early childhood educator.

Our educational programs follow a curriculm we call "The Collective" and are child-led and educator supported. These weekly programs, which can be seen in our studios, are responsive to the evolving interests and needs of the children and allow for flexibility and extended periods of play and research to test theories. This enquiry-led teaching strengthens children to become competent and capable across their developmental domains. The Collective allows educators to follow the children’s lead and actively

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

Little Scholars offers a range of studios tailored to different age groups, each designed to enhance learning and development in a nurturing environment. From the Nursery for the youngest learners, focusing on care and comfort, to the Toddler, Pre-Kindy, and Kindergarten studios, each space is crafted to support the specific developmental stages of children up to five years old. Activities and curriculum are age-appropriate, encouraging play-based learning, social skills, and foundational education.

This streamlined approach of an emergent curriculum supports educators to adopt child development theory and put into practice.

Our educational program is based on the premise that children are most successful at learning when curriculum experiences account for children’s interests, strengths, and individual needs.

The Collective encompasses all aspects of Little Scholars, including a collaborative approach with our children, families, educators, and community.

Our weekly programs, which can be seen in our studios, are responsive to the evolving interests and needs of the children and allow for flexibility and extended periods of play and research to test theories.

This enquiry-led teaching strengthens children to become competent and capable across their developmental domains. The Collective allows educators to follow the children’s lead and actively explore new concepts, ideas, or interest.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Little Scholars believes that health and wellness is the foundation of growth, early childhood development and education.

Developing healthy eating habits is a fundamental skill for young children and we play an important role in helping your child learn about and enjoy a variety of nutritious foods each day. That’s why our Little Scholars campuses employ qualified chefs to prepare tasty, nutritious meals and snacks in commercial kitchens. These meals are safe, developmentally appropriate and properly portioned for your child. It’s a recommendation from health authorities that children in long daycare are provided with at least 50 per cent of their daily nutritional requirements whilst they are in care.

We have an exciting rotating four-week menu that changes seasonally and incorporates a variety of flavours and textures to support our children trying new things, expanding their palates and promotes healthy eating. This menu always on display for families to have a look at, and we’re always open to suggestions from parents!

We provide your child with opportunities to enjoy healthy foods that promote growth and allow them to learn food preferences and good dietary habits that help them live a healthy lifestyle. Little Scholars offers a seasonal Feed Australia-approved weekly menu, which includes vegetarian and halal options if required. We devote significant resources to allergy requirements, all combined with our user-friendly online allergy notification system.

Healthy eating from early childhood also means children will have less chance of developing chronic diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity and some cancers. But it will also mean they feel great and enjoy life more!
Health and Wellness is essential for our Little Scholars growth and development and encourages the children to live robust, happy, and fulfilled lives.

Bush & Beach Kinder Our little scholars explore Mother Nature daily which is literally on their doorstep. They step outside and become outdoor explorers and the rest is history.

Pram Kinder No matter how little you are, even our littlest scholars partake in outdoor adventures and become outdoor explorers.

Drawing Lessons Young minds are hungry and always ready to learn new things. Our drawing lessons with Mr Tom offer our kindergarten children a world of exploration, creative expression, and expertise all in one. These classes are supported by Tom Gant from You CAN Draw!

Cooking lessons Our little scholars express themselves through the art of cooking and are opened to a world of opportunities for creativity and exploration. Watch your little scholar become their own little chef.

Yoga Watch out for your competitor yogi friends because yoga is on the weekly agenda for our little scholars! Yoga is more than just a fun activity; it is an outlet for coping with stresses and promotes a happy mind.

Sport Think personalised obstacle classes, soccer, swimming and more. Our little scholars are supported with expert teachers who promote fun and educational fitness lessons for the children.

Dance Dance provides the joy of dance and music in young children while creating and promoting musical appreciation, rhythm, coordination, fitness, social skills and most of all fun! Children are taught a range of dance techniques including ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap and more, in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.

We want to say a huge thank you to the whole team at Little Scholars Burleigh. There was never a single person without a smile to greet us all at drop off and pick up, every single member of staff knew all of the children's names, showed genuine care and affection for them and was helpful, friendly and courteous to us.
As an organisation you do a fantastic job of creating a sense of community through all of the centre activities that encourage involvement from parents. The breadth and quality of the enrichment activities for the children really sets a high bar. We have had to send our three children to several other centres prior to Little Scholars and nowhere comes close to what you provide.

The Kindy program and educators are amazing, Ivy has been provided with so many opportunities. She has really thrived thanks to their energy, care and attention.
We want to also provide specific feedback for two educators in particular. Nikki formed such an amazing bond with Anya that she didn’t just stop crying at drop offs, she actually gets excited about it and the last thing I see before heading to work is a beaming smile on her face. It makes a world of difference. Samara took the time with Rafe to learn about his interests and gain his trust. He’s progressed over the months from feeling scared and isolated to feeling safe and confident enough to make friends with some of his peers. The dedication and genuine care from Samara was incredible.

We were on the waitlist for 3 years, but it was worth every moment—Little Scholars has exceeded all our hopes. Every day feels magical for our kids. The massive backyard with real nature play, wooden playgrounds and bush kindy adventures at David Fleay Reserve are incredible. The educators are so caring and inspiring, and the eco-friendly mindset shines through everything they do, from compost bins to gardening workshops. Even the meals are exceptional—fresh, wholesome vegan options, filtered water and seasonal fruits and veggies with plenty of variety (our little foodie loves it all!).

We’re also so grateful for the thoughtful extras like date nights, parties, picnics and all the special events that strengthen the bonds between families and educators.

Special mention to Hannah, who is always so patient and friendly. Misses Alice, Ana, Anna, Brielle, Deb, Erika, Felicity, Gaby, Helen, Heidi, Jazmin, Jess, Lili, Tae, Tanami, Pamela, Rylee, Samara, Sasha, Sofwah, Sophie, Soraya, Summer, Tahlia, Teesh, Tjana, Yvette, Zahra and Mr Morgan are some of our favourite educators—just to name a few, as everyone is wonderful! We feel so blessed to be part of this beautiful community. 💛

Little Scholars at Burleigh are one of the best!

My son has been there for 3 years, I love seeing him grow into a little independent, confident human. The support all staff give him is amazing. He has grown from a shy little boy that wouldn't go to anyone with separation issues to a little boy that is happy and confident. The staff are nothing short of amazing, they are always available and very friendly. The center is transforming into such a wonderful learning space and I am always but to ease if I have any concerns regarding my child's learning and progressions. They provide all meals, fresh and healthy which is a massive bonus!

This center has to be hands down the best on the Gold Coast!

Alexandra

Our baby boy has been with Little Scholars for almost 6 months and we can’t fault them! As our first daycare experience we have been so happy with our experience, their teachings, their care and education, the quality of the centre and all the play equipment, their communication and all the extra things they throw in there. It’s so comforting to know our bub is in such good hands everyday. We love it and our little man loves it too so I really can’t recommend them enough! Thank you to all the staff and educators on doing such an incredible job.
