About Bluebird Early Education Cobram

Hello and Welcome to Bluebird Early Education Cobram, we are in the heart of the Goulburn Valley with the Murray River at our door step!

Bluebird Cobram is a small boutique centre offering 59 exclusive places for children from 6 weeks to school age.

When you enter our beautiful centre you will feel a sense of warmth and belonging – but how do we create this?

At Bluebird Cobram, we are passionate about inclusion and developing sustained, reciprocal relationships with the WHOLE family. It is our goal for every person who walks through our doors to feel like a valued member of our community.

We are committed to the creating an environment that Educates and supports Children to become life long learners. This is achieved by working hand in hand with each child’s family and of course, by incorporating your child’s own thoughts, views and goals for themselves – into the program!

Our long-standing, passionate Team of Highly Educated Professionals will support and guide your child to participate in their own learning journey by offering a safe, secure, challenging and engaging environments.

Community connections are important to us, we like to get out and about as well as inviting the local community in, as much as possible. We engage in bi-monthly fun evening’s for Families, diversity celebrations and Dental programs (just to name a few!).

We are extremely proud of the long-lasting connections we have embedded in our community and will strive to continue this for many years to come.

We would be privileged to have your family, join our family, here at Bluebird Cobram – We can’t wait to meet you.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

The Kindergarten program is a complete cycle of each individual child’s development. Educators see and learn the ways children take on new knowledge and adapt their teaching practices to cater for them. The environment is busy and forever changing as learning evolves. You’ll often find the Kinder children out at Forest School, where the natural environment is the teacher.

Through many literacy games, active outdoor play, and day-to-day activities, Educators strive to get each child ready for their first year of school, providing them with the emotional, physical and intellectual support.

Qualified Teachers constantly critically reflect on their curriculum, ensuring that it’s at its best for the diversity within the centre. A home away from home, where learning takes flight with the little Bluebirds.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

Kindy of Kindness - Initiatives may include visits to aged care facilities, baking for the local emergency services, and fund-raising projects to assist charity groups.

Sustainability Program - By taking part in daily sustainable living practices including recycling, composting, worm farming, energy and water saving, the children develop a working understanding of how they can play a vital role in protecting the environment.

Community connections - By forging strong community ties they enable the children to develop a deep sense of belonging and connection to the world around them, construct an understanding of how society works, and begin to recognise and respect the shared values that unite us.

Technology focus - Technology is introduced through a play based approach. Educators role model and assist children to gain new knowledge and to better understand concepts through the designated computer programs.

Health & Nutrition

Health & Nutrition

The centre believes in a hands-on approach to teaching children about food, which is why cooking classes are offered as part of the curriculum.

Children are encouraged to help out where they can, whether that’s chopping fruit for smoothies or pouring them out for everyone.

Food is used as a way to teach children about identifying their needs and attending to them. Children can access drink stations and fruit bowls for a quick snack.

Meet the team

Meet the team

I find it incredibly rewarding to be a part of each child’s Early Education journey. To watch as they grow, learn, develop, play, and prepare for their transition to school is so rewarding and a true privilege! Throughout this journey I endeavour to instil in each child, a lifelong love of learning.

Bluebird Early Education staff at Cobram you girls are such wonderful people to deal with. So friendly and genuine too! Having a small business in town am so appreciative of your support. I know you go out of your way to try and shop local and it’s so nice to see you support small businesses in our local community. Most recently I thank you girls for choosing my store to purchase some of your decor to refresh your centre. I’ve heard wonderful feedback from families who use your centre and they are loving all the new and improved spaces, and decor that you chose. It was the children especially that seem to love the local native flora and fauna theme. Great to see you taking such pride in the centre and it was great to be apart of it. Thankyou Bec, Sarah & Katie for choosing to support local. It’s always such a pleasure to assist you girls.

Thank you so much, Melissa! We truly value your kind words and ongoing support. It’s so important to us to partner with and support local businesses like yours — especially when it helps us create beautiful, engaging spaces for our children and families to enjoy. We’re so glad to hear the community loves the new look as much as we do!
