I remember relying on these authentic reviews when looking for a daycare. It's such a big decision and I went to so many to find the right nursery room for my daughter. I can't speak highly enough of the educators in the nursery room Akane and Nicole. They're kind, thoughtful, diligent and a great team. My daughter was 6months going into care and in the end for me the priority was a small, intimate nursery with excellent educators and these two are just that. I'd also call out Simone as well the centre manager who is approachable, on top of everything and willing to help. I'd recommend the nursery room highly.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

Avenues Early Learning Centre Aspley follows the Reggio Emilia approach. Educators view every child as a competent, capable, and unique learner, with a vast array of skills, knowledge, abilities, life experiences, and endless possibilities. The centre endeavors to build, nurture, and share each child’s learning journey by encouraging their uniquely different qualities of character, wellbeing, and identity.

The team believe it is their role to foster each child’s understanding of respect and help build their resilience. Educators guide children to be active participants in their learning and to become responsible citizens within their community and the world.

The children are offered a variety of educational activities throughout their day. Sensory based activities are a favourite – the children love engaging with playdough, goop, water play and more. Art experiences such as painting, collage, and drawing encourage imagination and creativity. Construction with blocks, magnets and recycled items like loose parts encourages divergent thinking and problem-solving skills.

Meet the team

Meet the team

At Avenues Early Learning Centre Aspley, the educators are a group of sector professionals who are dedicated to seeing each child reach their full potential. They are committed to supporting the children and their families to help the children grow and develop through their most important years. The centre’s educational programs are inspired by Reggio Emilia and foster the children’s love of learning through following their interests and providing engaging and exciting opportunities and experiences.

I have called Avenues Aspley my home for the last 5 and a half years, joining the family in 2016 and working as part of the management team from there. Since then, I have walked beside my team of Exceptional Educators, Children & Families, as we have grown in so many ways. We have welcomed beautiful children and families into our Avenues community - one being my own beautiful baby girl, who joined our tribe in 2021.  We have established relationships with our local schools and community members who help us to strengthen our understanding of the world around us.

I love to meet new families and learn all about them and their uniqueness. I am invested in gaining an understanding of each family that walks through my door and be one of the people that encourages them to reach their full potential. I offer support for all those times where families are unsure, a laugh for the funnier moments we have when raising our little ones and a shoulder for the harder times. I am here for every moment beside my families. I cannot wait to meet you and welcome you into my big family.

Simon, Centre Manager, Avenues Early Learning Centre Aspley

I have recently joined the management team here at Aspley, after working for another Avenues service for the past 11 years. It’s been an amazing opportunity to learn and grow with the company and I am loving being able to mentor and inspire my team to be the best educators they can be and make positive changes to this amazing centre.

Monny, Assistant Manager and Educational Leader

I’ve been working here at avenues Aspley for 5 years and a few months now and I’ve seen the centre change in many amazing ways. I couldn’t think of a better centre to be at. Management is always so understanding and are flexible with staff and their needs, co workers have become like family members and we all communicate with each other! The families we have here are all truly special and amazing!

Tegan, Kindy Educator

I’ve been working at Aspley Avenues for just over 5 years. I work with children of all ages to assist and watch them grow and develop. Over my time I have watched children grow and change into bigger children ready for school. At Avenues we are a team of welcoming and exciting educators that encourage and support children of all ages through interactions and their interest. We are excited to welcome new friends to our centre.

Nicole, Nursery Educator

The children enjoy meals such as chicken fried rice, pumpkin pasta, homemade beef & vegetable sausage rolls, sandwiches & wraps, as well as vegetable and beef lasagne.

Words cant express how happy I am with this childcare my toddler has been going here for about 10 months, I have never had an issue, its like leaving him with family. Every single staff in the childcare is exceptionally caring and loving. I have had a lot experience with different childcare with my now 7 year old daughter. Never came across such an amazing childcare and I think that is why I don't mind driving to Aspley, all the way from Mango Hill. Much love and Gratitude.

Over the last 5 years, we have had both our boys attend this wonderful early learning centre. Our son is currently attending in the Kindy room. Like many families, we have tried several child care centres and Aspley Avenues Early Learning is by far one of the best. The immediate thing that stands out with this centre are its loving, nurturing, emotionally and physically available and present educators who shower the children with so much affection, actively playing and engaging with them, showing interest in their unique personalities and interests and express sheer joy when they welcome our little ones to their magical world. The staff have also been there long term which says a lot about the positive and strong management and leadership of the centre. The staff are always readily willing to provide an update to parents about your child's day and provide regular written correspondence about their day, learning and what is happening at the centre. The Kindy program also offers a rich and diverse educational program for your little learners so if your kids or you welcome letter and number recognition and phonics awareness then you should strongly consider this centre. Our son comes homes on a daily basis and tells us about the things he has learnt (geography, animals, places, numbers, counting, letters, etc) and he is so excited to go every day to see his friends and teachers. The centre also has an onsite chef who provides rich and diverse meals. Despite our son being a picky and fussy eater, we have found that he has become more willing to try and eat various foods as he has seen his peers also eat them at Kindy and he has come to love certain foods that he did not before. The centre also provides nappies, hats and sunscreen making those morning routines less demanding. The rooms in the centre are light and warm with every resource and toy that parents would expect and kids enjoy. The Kindy room also has many resources and activities that develop fine motor skills. The outdoor environment is well shaded with various activities available and what immediately stands out is that one will always see each and every educator sitting down and engaging with the kids and playing/working with them/being present. The centre also has a visiting music teacher who engages the children during their music lesson in such a fun way and it is heartwarming to see the kids dance about their room with big smiles. They also offer an extra curricular sports program which is a fun and easy way to allow our littles ones to explore the various sports and further develop their gross and fine motor skills. The Kindy teacher also sets up various obstacle courses to further develop the children's motor, balance and co-ordination skills. The centre is easily accessible from various streets and offers ample parking on site. Overall, if you are looking for a centre where your child will be seen, heard, engaged and cared for every day in a very nurturing way with the most caring, long standing staff then please visit the Aspley Avenues Early Learning centre and I hope your little ones grow and develop and love it as much as our children and we have over the years.
