He is becoming such a funny, smart kid and it’s definitely thanks to the time he spends with you all and the wonderful programs you put in place to make their time with you fun and educational.

The children enjoy extra-curricular classes...

Raw Arts program: Our Kindergarten children take part in fortnightly art lessons, focusing on developing their creativity, and expressing themselves through open ended art experiences. 

Japanese program: Each week Erika from 'Little Japan' teaches our Kindergarten children Japanese. These lessons include learning words and phrases, songs, arts and crafts, stories and cultural practices.

Ginger sports: for children aged 2 to 5 years, the children have the opportunity to take part in a fun soccer program on a weekly basis, with a positive, nurturing and safe environment for the little ones to take part.

Happy Feet Dance: for children aged 2 – 5 years, the centre offers the opportunity for children to take part in a specialised creative educational movement, music and wellness program.

Our highly qualified and experienced educators follow the Early Years Learning Framework Curriculum in the Nursery through to Pre Kindy rooms, with the Kindergarten Rooms following the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. 

Our educators follow the children’s interests and extend on their skills through everyday activities that enhance their self-help skills, fine and gross motor skills, cognitive skills, social skills, resilience skills and more, all through fun play based learning. Being a Reggio inspired centre, our children have the oportunity to take part in project learning, where they engage in experiences that capture their interests.

Our educators believe that each child is an individual and will be treated with respect, kindness and care at all times. They show families that they value their culture and family values and will extend on these in the centre environment to ensure that each child feels safe and secure.

The educators at Avenues Early Learning Centre Carina ensure that children feel safe, supported and challenged to learn new things and participate in new experiences. The educators seek to make sure that the environment is inviting, natural, stimulating and engaging, and that it reflects the children’s personalities and interests. 

Educators strive to create a calm, comfortable environment where each child feels safe. The highly trained team of educators are hand-picked to support the children and their learning. The centre is well resourced and each area is specifically designed with young learners in mind. 

As a centre we strive to provide enriched learning experiences for all children in a safe, caring environment.  We strive to assist all children to become confident and capable learners, through building on their own interests, curiosity, and wonder.

Being part of the Avenues Team has allowed me to follow my dreams and of being a Child Care Educator. The team is so welcoming and supportive of everyone, they thrive on providing a safe nurturing environment that allow children to grow every day.

The in-house cooks at Avenues Early Learning Carina provide freshly made morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for the children. We have a seasonal menu that rotates through a range of delicious meals that even the pickiest of eaters enjoy. All children's allergies, cultural and religious requirements are accommodated for during meals.
