I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Green Leaves Merrifield.<br>My biggest concern is the lack of communication regarding my daughter's wellbeing. On one occasion, I was told at pick-up that she had been unwell throughout the day, was unsettled, refused food, and had red eyes, yet I was never contacted.<br><br>As a parent, I expect to be notified immediately if my child is unwell, not find out hours later.<br>I have also repeatedly asked for updates about her eating, drinking, and general wellbeing throughout the day, but these requests have not been consistently followed. The photo journal updates are often delayed and do not reflect what has been happening in real time, making it difficult to feel connected to my child's day.<br><br>To make matters worse, after raising concerns about my daughter's care, I received a message regarding fee payments that felt unnecessarily abrupt and threatening, stating that care would cease if payments were not kept up to date. While I understand the importance of paying fees on time, I would expect the same level of urgency and professionalism when it comes to communicating about a child's health and wellbeing.<br><br>Families trust childcare centres with what matters most to them. That trust depends on open communication, transparency, and knowing that your child is being cared for appropriately. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I do not feel those expectations have been met.<br>I sincerely hope the centre takes this feedback on board and improves its communication with families, because every parent deserves to feel confident that their child is safe, well cared for, and that they will be contacted promptly if something is wrong.

We've had a really positive experience at Green Leaves Early Learning Merrifield.The ECTs, educators, and all the staff are so friendly, patient, and genuinely caring. The centre is very Spacious & beautiful , the staff are warm and caring, and communication has been great.

We attended an orientation for our child and were very disappointed. During our one-hour visit, several children were left unattended in the backyard while staff focused mainly on paid dance classes. Children not in those classes appeared to receive very little supervision. We also witnessed a serious safety issue where a child had a piece of wood or stone in his mouth, which staff did not notice until we pointed it out. This could have resulted in a choking incident. Additionally, after outdoor play, children were taken inside for lunch without washing their hands. Due to these safety and hygiene concerns, we decided not to proceed with enrolment.

As recent arrivals to Australia, we were so relieved to find Green Leaves Merrifield; they made our child feel at home instantly. The center provides a true five-star experience, led by the professional and lovely Director, Shanna. The environment is beautiful, but it’s the people who make it special—Sarah in admin is wonderful, and educators like Priya, Maree, and Pulkit are incredibly caring and kind. Our child felt safe and loved here, and I cannot recommend this center highly enough to other local parents.

Amazing educators who go above and beyond in providing quality care.. My son has become more independent and developed immense curiosity in learning new things. Love the care and support that the children get in the centre.

My son has only started recently, but the kindness and support shown by all the staff has been so wonderful! He is still crying at drop off, but Usha is so kind and caring that he soon settles in. The reassuring phone call from Sam that he stopped crying immediately was so appreciated. It really eased my mind. My son is always so happy playing when I watch him through the windows at pick up time, so I am certain that he is enjoying his time at Greenleaves. The treats provided to families are so delicious and the little seating area is a wonderful place to decompress and chat to my son about his day while having a little snack. We are very happy so far and grateful for the care and kindness shown by all at Greenleaves.

We are so grateful for the sense of community and belonging that my daughter experiences at Green Leaves Early Learning Centre. It is a wonderful environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive. The educators, management and admin staff are truly dedicated and passionate and we really appreciate their open communication and positive impact they have on my daughter’s development.
