I would have given them negative rating.
1. On my child’s first day at the centre, I left her at 9:30am. When I felt her, she gave goodbye with a smile, she was happy. I went to pick her up at 11:30am, as it was her first day and didn’t want to make her stay for long and upset her. As soon as she saw me, she started crying. I thought it’s normal to be emotional. So I didn’t care much. As we came home, I took off her beanie (she was still sitting inside my car), I noticed a huge head bump. When I asked her, she said “fell toilet, wash hands, I cried and cried”. That means she fell on the toilet while washing hands and had a head injury. No one noticed me, or did an incident report. Such negligence. When I asked them, they said they don’t know and she didn’t wash her hands. But it was lunchtime when I went to pick her up. So don’t they wash kids’ hands before eating?
2. On the orientation week, none of the educators sat with me and my child to know about her daily routine. They didn’t even bother to talk to me, I was going to them and giving them information. I found it extremely unprofessional.
3. Management is extremely unorganised. It’s been more than three months we pulled out my child from that centre, but we’re still receiving emails and apps notifications. Although we informed them several times regarding this matter.
I had high hopes that my child would go to a childcare with Islamic environment but didn’t expect such major negligence. Only positive thing I can say is the polite behaviour of sister Rizana and Bushra. If they want to continue this childcare according to ACECQA guideline, they should change or train their educators especially those who are taking care of babies and toddlers.
