As a first time mum, choosing the right childcare center felt like such a big and emotional decision but we honestly couldn't be happier with the choice we made, especially after having a not so pleasant experience with another daycare center in the area. My daughter has been at this center for over 2 years now and it has been incredible for her in so many different ways, including boost in her confidence, social skills and coming out of her shell. She has built some friendships which she adores and it brings us so much comfort as parents knowing she is not only cared for, but also happy, engaged and growing. We are grateful for the amazing educators for making this transition positive and smooth - You are all stars! Special shoutout to Amy, Leah, Cecilia, Jocelyn, Maddie, Deena and Xiu! Highly recommend to any parent - Keep up the amazing work ladies!!

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

“Let the child be the scriptwriter, director and the actor in their own play” - Magda Gerber

Nursery Space: 6 weeks – 2 years

Learning starts from before birth, and our Educators have created a welcoming and nurturing nursery environment where each baby feels safe to explore and discover new things - through their senses, their communication and cues (body language, facial expression and sounds) and through experimentation. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play including sensory play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing.

Toddler Space: 2 - 3 years

Our teachers and educators encourage the children to learn through play to help enhance their sensory-motor development. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games, role playing and reading experiences.

On any given day the Toddlers can be seen developing their numeracy by building a tower, sorting objects, pointing and identifying shapes and patterns and participating in counting songs and games.

Children in our toddler space are encouraged to participate in group play. Group play is important as it helps our toddlers develop important social skills such as, turn-taking, developing self-confidence and emotional self-regulation. Our skilled team helps children through talking, planning and role modelling.

Preschool Space: 3 – 6 years

Preschool is a unique time for learning with peers and developing skills for later learning including confidence and curiosity, important skills for starting school. Our play-based program has school readiness at its core, encouraging active engagement in learning and supporting a range of positive developmental outcomes including resilience, independence, critical thinking and creativity.

The oral language supports literacy learning and a child’s oral language ability is the best predictor for later success in learning to read and write. Hearing the sounds within a language is the first critical step for all literacy learning. Our team supports our Preschool children's literacy development by engaging in rich discussions, reading, storytelling, dramatic play and experimentation all of which introduce new vocabulary as part of everyday conversations.

Throughout the Preschool year, children use their language to share ideas, ask questions, express themselves, and connect with peers and adults in social settings.

Social-emotional skills, including the ability to self-regulate emotions, are supported through group learning experiences. Our team supports each child’s social and emotional development by labelling and talking about emotions and supporting appropriate responses as together, they engage in new and challenging situations. Our goal in the Preschool year is to prepare children and families for a smooth transition to primary school.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Our centre chef prepares and cooks nutritious meals daily, catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child. We believe that by encouraging active participation (such as growing their own fruit and vegetables, preparing, and finally cooking!) children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating across a wide variety of food.

Our centre offers seasonal whole food-based menus – created to delight the fussiest eaters.

My name is Xiu and I am the Centre Manager. My journey in early childhood education began in 2016. Since then, I have worked in various roles across the centre, gaining experience with all age groups and developing a deep understanding of child development and early learning practices. I find it incredibly rewarding to watch children learn, grow, and develop into confident, caring, and curious individuals. What I love most about this career is creating engaging, safe, and stimulating environments where children can explore, develop independence, and reach their full potential. Being able to build meaningful relationships with both children and their families adds even more purpose and fulfilment to my work.

Throughout my career in early childhood education and care, I’ve learned that every child is unique, with their own learning style, interests, and pace of development. Recognising and valuing these differences has shaped my teaching approach to be flexible, responsive, and child-centered. I focus on creating safe, engaging, and supportive environments where children feel encouraged to explore, take risks, and build confidence. By observing and listening closely, I support my team to tailor experiences and play-based learning opportunities to meet each child’s individual needs while fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.

I am passionate about supporting each child’s learning and development by creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that celebrates their unique abilities. My approach is child-centred, flexible, and guided by curiosity, play, and meaningful relationships, with the goal of helping children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

My son thrived at this centre. He loved the educators and staff, as well as other children. He has made great friends and is well prepared for kindergarten. Everyone at the centre will be greatly missed. Thank you for the wonderful experience you have given my child. Highly recommend this day care for any child.

My son went to this childcare from ages 2 to 5 and had a good experience. My youngest daughter who is now 2 has been attending since she was 8 months old and loves going to 'school'. There are some long standing educators there such as Jocelyn, Amy, Cecelia and Leah who are lovely. I'm also loving the new Management Team. I think they are doing a great job! Highly recommend!

I have debated for a long time if I should post or not. My son no longer attends this daycare. I actually quit my job and threw myself into financial hardship just so my son would no longer be attending this daycare. He is now in school. My son is a special needs kid. He was troublesome. I am aware that he had challenging behaviours. I think what made it worse was the daycares constant need to essentially throw their hands up in the air and just constantly look at negatives instead of solutions. They applied for funding to support my son. After applying they told me that whatever funds received would be used to support the other children who are impacted by his behaviour because they have an "inclusion" policy. Rather than supporting my son to cope, they would support the other children's emotions. I asked them to allow my son to have a small amount of apple juice mixed in with his water. When I first returned to the centre after having a break due to my son having cancer, the director actually said she would make sure the kitchen has apple juice stocked. I said no need and that it's just for his first bottle of the day which I will fill up at home and then the second bottle after that can just be water. Apparently she thinks she never said this (my husband and I were both there and she did say it). They would empty out my sons bottle every day and fill it with just water (which he wouldn't drink) then they would try to do a song and dance when i would pick him up saying that he did drink water even though I could see how thirsty he was when he got in the car because he would completely empty the new bottle I brought from home. When I made a fuss about them emptying out his bottle, they stopped giving the bottle all together and only let him drink from cups which he didn't know how to use so if they didn't prompt and remind him, he wouldn't drink for hours on end. They also said that due to his challenging behaviours they would have someone constantly shadowing him. Numerous times I got there and I would ask who is shadowing him today. They would say we all are or I don't know or whatever. One time I got there and i know my son had just pushed another child. One of the workers was red in the face and giving him a filthy look while pulling that other child away from my son. She was most likely just yelling at him. If he was being constantly shadowed, he wouldn't of had the chance to push another child. I did everything I can to support them. I brought his favourite snacks in his bag which they refused to give him and they told me to stop packing those. I would have therapists go to the centre to see him and make recommendations on how to make the centre easier on them. I provided them with physical cards they could use to help with transitioning which despite how many times I explained them, they were used wrong. They did have a few random good workers there. Only for those random good workers is this getting 2 stars. But as an organisation in general, I was so let down as a parent. And I know for a fact that this is not the norm because the next daycare centre I went to was absolutely amazing. My son didn't hit there, was very comfortable, had favourite teachers. They let me give him the things that bring him comfort like his juice and snacks. I hope as an organisation they can just actively choose to do better and support the parents a bit more 🤷🏽‍♀️

As a brand new mum sending my baby girl to daycare was a very hard decision. The guilt eats you alive. community kids have been incredible at helping with the transition. For Scarlett and for me. Scarlett has settled in so well due to your love and care. Amy and Deena especially who Scarlett adores. I just wanted to shoot a message to say thankyou for being incredible and making this chapter that little bit easier. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
