Our recently renovated Young Academics Smeaton Grange Early Learning Centre sets a new standard for quality educational experiences providing nurturing care for children from six weeks to five years old.
Combining a warm, welcoming ambience with innovative purpose-built learning environments, children have a diverse range of experiences and learning resources to occupy their days, both indoors and out at our Gregory Hills Childcare. Our indoor learning environment boasts a rich variety of resources encouraging children to discover, explore and interact with their peers and professional educators, as well as quiet spaces for rest and reflection. Outdoors, the vibrant environment includes extensive play-based learning equipment to foster child led discovery. With a team of passionate Educators our play-based Evolution and Transition to School programs promote holistic development. It includes experiences that facilitate learning in areas such as literacy, numeracy, STEM, physical and emotional health and wellbeing, life skills, and creativity. Through our unique programs, your child will thrive and develop a life-long love for learning. We offer diverse enriching activities, from arts and crafts to music and outdoor play, to stimulate your child's imagination and creativity.
Five nutritious meals are included each day and prepared on-site by our in-house cooks, and all nappies and wipes are included. Cot linen provided (excludes stretcher bed linen).

Our Transition to School Program is designed to develop learning dispositions, providing a fluid transition into Early Stage One of the Australian School Curriculum. Increased social and emotional confidence supports healthy risk taking, making predictions and ongoing resilience.
At Young Academics, we believe the first five years of a child’s life are critical for establishing healthy eating habits, exploring new foods, and meeting essential nutritional needs to support growth and development. Good nutrition not only enhances physical health but also boosts a child’s well-being, self-confidence, and focus.
We’ve developed our unique Nutrition Program in collaboration with a qualified nutritionist. This program is designed to help children understand the importance of healthy eating, hygiene, and physical activity. We encourage children to actively participate in meal preparation and serving, fostering a hands-on approach to learning about nutrition.
Our carefully crafted seasonal menu, which rotates every four weeks, is designed to meet 50% of your child’s daily nutritional requirements. It includes a variety of nourishing foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fish, chicken, dairy products, and more, ensuring children receive a balanced diet that supports their growth and development.
At Young Academics, our Transition to School Program is a comprehensive, carefully designed pathway that prepares children for the exciting journey into formal education. We understand that this is a major milestone, and our program focuses on equipping children with the academic, social, and emotional skills they need for a smooth transition.

I recently toured Young Academics Smeaton Grange and was incredibly impressed by the warmth, professionalism, and care shown by the staff. The centre had such a welcoming atmosphere, and the environment felt safe, clean, and thoughtfully set up for little learners.
