Would not recommend Little Zak’s Doonside. The staffs do not seem genuinely caring and communication with parents is very poor. Updates about the kids are inconsistent and often lack important details. Management also doesn’t handle concerns well — instead of listening, they tend to brush things off. For the fees they charge, I expected a much better standard of care and professionalism. Definitely disappointing. Also, don’t be deceived with some of the 5 star reviews here - They are staffs from the centre

Our experience at Little Zak’s Doonside has been extremely disappointing. This centre clearly lacks proper supervision and any reliable system in place. After multiple incidents involving our child — several of which ended with us taking him to the emergency room — we decided to end our enrolment immediately. We can no longer entrust our child’s safety and care to this centre. The most concerning and recent incident was when we found our child lying face down in the sandpit with no supervision. What angered us even more was the centre’s denial, despite the fact that we ourselves witnessed and found our child. Their excuse? That the CCTV “wasn’t working” on the exact date and time of the incident. This feels highly questionable and gives the impression that the centre is hiding something. Beyond safety, this centre is also behind in its educational practices. Unlike other childcare centres we’ve spoken to, Little Zak’s Doonside does not set individual goals for children and has never provided us with any developmental assessments. Overall, our experience has been unsafe, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. We strongly advise other parents to consider these issues before enrolling their child here.

Our child experienced very traumatic incidents here, not just once, but multiple times. I will not detail our incidents, but this centre feels extremely unsafe. While the news about Little Zak involves other branches, it clearly shows a pattern of serious safety issues. If that news had come out earlier, we would never have enrolled here. Parents and families, please do your research first, the news can tell. Better safe than sorry.

Great service really impressed

This center is very beautiful and welcoming . I really loved the area and setups of each classrooms . My overall experience was really good except one, it was the way one educator was talking with children and educators. In 3-4 room , the room leader , miss A….. k . She is really rude and doesn’t have any respect for co educators and children. I understand that she is a room leader but noone is her servant. We all are qualified educators and we deserve to be respected . She doesn’t even say basic words like thank you, please or anything. The educator like this , what is she going to teach the young children? I will really appreciate if you would have a conversation with her in this matter .

Supervision is bad in this center. My child came home one day with an arm length scratch and teachers have no idea how it happened when asked. They also refused to provide a documented incident report.

It’s quite common for toddlers aged 1–2 years to get hurt at this centre — something I regret overlooking in earlier reviews before enrolling my child. Unfortunately, my child also experienced an incident, and just like others mentioned, the centre responded with the same generic, templated message — no real concern or accountability. What’s more frustrating is that it’s been three weeks since I started emailing (nearly four emails so far) to cancel the enrolment, and I haven’t received a single response. It’s clear the management is more focused on increasing enrolments than actually addressing concerns once a child has joined. It feels like once they’ve locked you in, their interest in parent communication and child well-being drops significantly. Interestingly, when I was enquiring about joining, they followed up every other day.

This childcare is extremely incompetent. Please stay away from this place! They care more about money than caring for children. They have no idea about reporting practices and also they have an issue with smacking children!!! Yep that is correct. STAY CLEAR TO PROTECT THE WELLBEING OF YOUR CHILDREN! If your child is in Room 4-5 under the care of a teacher that starts with D - PLEASE INVESTIGATE NOW! she has laid hands on children!!!!!

This centre is amazing. This is our daughter's first childcare and she absolutely loves it. The Toddler room with Sonia, Helen, Prappa and Emma educators, they truly care and build relationship with my daughter and other kids as well. She transforms from a shy kid into a confident kid. She learns a lot skills, starts singing and telling stories at home. And in her story, we can see and understand that she has room to play and the educators are always care and take action to protect kid if needed. She loves her teachers, and of course, so do we as her parents. And whenever I come and pick her up, the teacher at the entry is always welcome us with a smile, and the other educators show warm welcome, too. Thank you
