What is an Immunisation History Statement and how do I get one?

An Immunisation History Statement is your child’s official vaccination record in Australia, generated through the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). It shows whether your child is up to date, on a catch-up schedule, or has a medical exemption and is commonly required when enrolling in childcare. Services use it to meet health and safety requirements and to ensure compliance with Child Care Subsidy (CCS) rules. Most parents can download the statement quickly through their myGov account linked to Medicare, or request a copy from their GP. If your child’s vaccinations aren’t fully up to date, the statement can still reflect a catch-up schedule, which may meet requirements for childcare and CCS.
