About Guardian Childcare & Education Caloundra

Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Caloundra, a bright and modern early learning centre located in Caloundra West on the Sunshine Coast. Ideally positioned for families in nearby suburbs including Bellvista, Corbould Park, Baringa and Little Mountain. We’re proud of our centre, and we believe this is the best childcare in Caloundra West.

Our To BE Me learning program helps you see your child’s learning adventure in a whole new light. Their pathway is personalised, with every milestone captured in a way that makes the link between play and learning clear and memorable.

The Queensland Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week (40 weeks per year). The funding off sets the fees for children who turn four years old by 30 June in the year before they attend primary school. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees.

We understand how big those first steps into childcare are, and our Baby Ambassador and expert Nursery team is here to make the transition calm and reassuring for both you and your baby.

By focusing on Nutrition for Life, Guardian gives families peace of mind, knowing their children are developing habits that can set them up for a future of exposure to different foods, good eating patterns and healthy eating. Our qualified cook / chef provides 5 healthy foods every day from our in-house kitchen.

Families trust us to provide safe childcare with the highest standards of safety and care in our centre.

About the curriculum

The curriculum at Petit Early Learning Journey is based on an individual approach that recognises the unique skills, perspectives, knowledge and expectations of each child. Supported by the Early Years Learning Framework, the curriculum allows for child-focused, play-based learning where the children can explore their natural curiosity and develop their imagination. The educators take a holistic approach to each child to help them develop their cognitive, emotional and social skills.

The children are cared for in three different rooms:

  • Babies (0-2 yrs)

Unfortunately, it was not a positive one for my family. When my daughter started attending, I felt that she was not properly welcomed or supported during her settling-in period. I was also disappointed to see that some meals offered to a one-year-old included items like ham, which I did not consider appropriate for her age. My daughter became increasingly distressed at drop-offs and seemed very unhappy during the time she attended. While I understand that every child is different and experiences may vary, this was ours.

Just want to thank the entire team for the amazing care provided to our little loves and family. We have been attending this centre for over 5 years with our first child attending from baby to kindy, and our second child growing from baby and now in toddler room. Your hard work and progress is not unnoticed and our children are thriving. So thank you and be proud of the hard work you do everyday!

I can’t thank this daycare enough for the love and patience they’ve shown my son. Drop-offs were always hard for us, as he would get very upset, but the educators were so understanding and comforting every single time. They took the time to reassure him and soon he began settling in happily. It’s such a relief knowing he is cared for by people who truly put the children first. The communication, kindness, and genuine care here are outstanding — I feel so grateful we found this centre. My son now shows so much excitement to go, has come so far in his communication and loves his educators.
