About Guardian Childcare & Education Cherrybrook

We’re proud to offer what families call the best childcare in Cherrybrook! Our centre houses a range of resource-rich environments and a range of age-specific spaces and play areas.

Families tell us our To BE Me learning program gives them real confidence – it’s a breakthrough in how they see their child learn. Our Development Pathways provide a new way of understanding how your child’s growth, curiosity, and confidence is developing.

The NSW Government offers funding to subsidise the cost of preschool in long day care. For 3-year-old’s this is between $423-$769 and for 4-year-olds between $1,783-$2,563. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

We understand how big those first steps into childcare are, and our Baby Ambassador and expert Nursery team is here to make the transition calm and reassuring for both you and your baby.

By focusing on Nutrition for Life, Guardian gives families peace of mind, knowing their children are developing habits that can set them up for a future of exposure to different foods, good eating patterns and healthy eating. Our qualified cook / chef provides 5 healthy foods every day from our in-house kitchen.

With a strong focus on safety and wellbeing, we’re proud to be a trusted choice for safe childcare.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

To BE Me is Guardian’s exclusive learning program specifically designed for each age and stage of your child’s early years.

The program includes resources and tools that support learning and make it easy to see your child’s progress along Learning and Development Pathways.

It groups your child’s learning into seven areas to help you see this progress clearly. Each of these areas has behaviours or skills that are generally linked to each age and stage.

Children receive their own My Learning and Development Book, which is updated regularly with their progress.

To BE Me is underpinned by Guardian’s world class teaching program that has been developed over many years of research and thousands of hours observing how children develop.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

We believe in nutrition for life, supporting children to develop healthy eating habits from an early age. Qualified Chefs and Cooks in our centres create fresh and nutritious meals each day, using seasonal, high-quality ingredients that align with Australian Dietary Guidelines.

Meals are designed to be delicious, introduce children to diverse flavours, and make eating healthy food a positive experience.

Managing allergies and intolerances is part of how we keep mealtimes safe and enjoyable. Every child’s needs are carefully tracked, meals are supervised by permanent educators, and allergens are strictly controlled.

Beyond providing wholesome food, we use mealtimes as learning opportunities. Children practice independence by serving themselves and engaging in conversations about food, building confidence and understanding of healthy choices.

I strongly do not recommend this childcare centre. Our experience raised serious and ongoing concerns about professionalism, supervision, and overall management. Firstly, I were extremely uncomfortable with how our child’s personal information was handled. There were situations where information about our child appeared to be shared with other parents. This is unacceptable for a childcare environment and raises serious concerns about confidentiality. Secondly, the level of supervision and guidance was far below expectations. During pick up times, the environment often felt chaotic and uncontrolled, with children left to manage themselves and very limited direction from educators on appropriate behaviour. It did not feel like a structured learning environment. I also observed that the childcare center director had very little visible engagement with the children. Most of the time, she remained in the office, often on her phone or with headphones on. There was minimal interaction with families or children, and even basic details, such as correctly addressing children’s names in communication, were not handled carefully, which reflects a lack of attention and responsibility. In addition, some staff interactions made us increasingly uncomfortable. Communication was often repetitive and intrusive, with the same personal or family-related questions being asked multiple times, even after we had already provided answers. This felt unnecessary and inappropriate, and no clear support or solutions were offered. I also noted that some educators had their own children in the same group they supervise, which raised concerns about fairness and equal attention to all children. Finally, I observed that photo taking appeared to be staged. Groups of children were rotated in and out purely for photos, which disrupted their routine and did not appear to prioritise genuine learning or engagement. Overall, this experience did not meet even basic expectations for a childcare centre. I have since withdrawn our child, and the difference in care at another centre has been significant. Based on our experience, I strongly advise other parents to seriously reconsider before enrolling their child here.

Absolutely the worst child care centre. My child suffered a whole time. Director is the main problem and the attitude towards kids cascade down to all the educators. Do not waste your time with this centre. Many issues were found by the department of the education.

Highly disappointed with the management and operational standards at Guardian Cherrybrook. Ended up with withdrawal after a year of declining service quality, high staff turnover, and cost-cutting measures. The leadership was disconnected, often using AI-generated responses to parents enquiries and showing a lack of genuine care. Most concerning were the privacy breaches (sharing confidential info with other parents) and the persistent pressure to sign up for support programs that medical professionals deemed unnecessary for our child. Since moving to a different provider, my child is thriving, proving that the environment here was the primary issue. Proceed with caution.
