About Kindy Patch Narara

About Kindy Patch Narara Long Daycare Preschool

Welcome to Kindy Patch Narara. We're ideally located for families in Narara, Wyoming, North Gosford and Niagara Park.

Our Long Daycare and Preschool Centre provides early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

We provide convenient, full care coverage from 9hr, 10hr or full days, 5 days per week, including school holidays.

Our dedicated team of Teachers and Educators provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment - where your child can thrive, and be their wonderful self, every day.

Getting school ready? We offer the Government-approved Preschool program that helps ensure your child has a successful transition to formal schooling.

We offer a great variety of learning experiences at our Centre including:

- Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of protecting our planet.

- Community Engagement Program: Encourages children to interact with and discover their local community. We often have visits from community services, and we go out on adventures to teach the children about their local environment.

- Music & Movement Program: Designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. Children learn to appreciate and develop an understanding of music - and of course, have fun.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

“Let the child be the scriptwriter, director and the actor in their own play” - Magda Gerber

Nursery Space: 6 weeks – 2 years

Learning starts from before birth, and our Educators have created a welcoming and nurturing nursery environment where each baby feels safe to explore and discover new things - through their senses, their communication and cues (body language, facial expression and sounds) and by experimenting. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play, water play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing!

Toddler Space: 2 - 3 years

Our teachers and educators encourage the children to learn through play to help enhance their sensory-motor development. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games and reading experiences.

On any given day the Toddler children can be seen developing their numeracy by building a tower, sorting objects, pointing and identifying shapes and patterns and participating in counting songs and games.

Children in our toddler space are encouraged to participate in group play. Group play is important as it helps our toddlers develop important social skills such as, turn taking, developing self confidence and emotional self regulation. Our team helps children through talking, planning and role modelling.

Preschool Space: 3 – 6 years

Preschool is a unique time for learning with peers and developing skills for later learning including confidence and curiosity, important skills for starting school. Our play-based program encourages active engagement in learning and supports a range of positive developmental outcomes including resilience, independence, critical thinking and creativity.

The oral language supports literacy learning. A child’s oral language ability is the best predictor for later success in learning to read and write. Hearing the sounds within a language is the first critical step for all literacy learning. Our team supports our Preschool children's development by engaging in rich discussions, introducing new vocabulary as part of everyday conversations, as well as singing, playing games, and reading with the children daily.

Throughout the Preschool year, children use their language to share ideas, ask questions, express themselves, and connect with peers and adults in social settings.

Social-emotional skills, including the ability to self-regulate emotions, is supported through group learning environments. Our team supports each child’s social and emotional development by labelling and talking about emotions and supporting appropriate responses as together, they engage in new and challenging situations. Lastly, ensuring that all children are ready for the ‘big school’ by preparing them for all that ‘big school’ has to offer.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Our centre chef prepares and cooks healthy and nutritious meals daily, catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child. We believe that by encouraging active participation (such as growing their own fruit and vegetables, preparing, and finally cooking!) children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating.

Our centre offers children nutrient-rich, unprocessed, and seasonal whole foods – created to delight the fussiest eaters.

Hi my name is Elizabeth and I am the Centre Manager at Kindy Patch Narara. I started working in early learning before I started University in 2008. I hold a double degree in Education; a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies and a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary).

I completed my university internship at Kindy Patch Narara. I have been lucky enough to stay at Kindy Patch Narara working full time in the preschool room. I was the Educational Leader of the centre as well as the Assistant Centre Manager. I have worked at this amazing centre since 2012.

When I was growing up, I knew I wanted to work with children. I knew the education of young children was my calling in life. Every day I am so humbled and grateful to be in a career that I love, even on the harder days. I love encouraging children to take on challenges and learn new things! It is so rewarding being a part of children’s lives and learning about their world with them.

With many of our team having children of their own, we have all been or are going through the process of child care and early learning. We are proud to offer support where possible – from helping our families with enrolment, applying for the Child Care Subsidy or even tips to help with fussy eaters. It is so important to us that every person that walks in our doors feels a connection to the centre and sense of belonging in our space. We build strong relationships with our families so we can work together to create high quality, positive outcomes for all our children.

To Liz and the whole Kindy Patch Narara team. I just wanted to say thank you so much to your team, I was a little guilty with my youngest being in care for his birthday, but from the moment he entered, with Sam and Jaiden wishing him a happy birthday, to the photos all day today on Xplor. It not only completely took away the guilt, but it really cemented why we love KPN as much as we do. So thank you, and your staff so very much. It truly is appreciated! We absolutely love it here!

Two of my grandsons have attended Narara Kindy Patch. One is still enrolled the other left for ‘big school’. Best proof of how wonderful the centre is , is in the confidence my grandsons show on arrival. They have always burst into the centre eager to see what’s happening. The centre teachers are always warm and welcoming both to the children and their parents/ grandparents. The centre is safe, clean and organised. It has a positive vibe. As an educator I am impressed by the true child-centred education the children receive. Each child’s uniqueness is appreciated and supported. The activities are varied, interesting and creative. The teaching staff is very dedicated, even providing special day activities eg colour run, a Christmas party for families. The food is varied and it’s great the children have the opportunity to try new tastes along with their more familiar ones. The app is a fabulous way to keep up with what they are learning. It’s delightful to see some photos and information of what the day has been like. It’s easy to use. It’s so comforting for my son and daughter in law knowing their children are attending such a quality centre.

I have my three children in there. I have had such a lovely experience with the Kindy Patch team! Every day I go to collect the kids they always give so much information on how they have done today, from who they played with, what they did, how their behaviour was, what goals they are working on. I also get the app updates for their jottings, photos, toileting, sunscreen, meals, sleeps etc. Very happy! Plus the menu just got their 5 star rating which the food is incredible, they do such a wonderful job. Well done team and thankyou once again for your caring nurturing environment that you create!
