Endevour Education has been nothing short of amazing since my son started in August. Vanessa the centre manager has truly been helpful kind and supportive. Along with the room leaders and the lovely educators I feel lucky to have found this great centre on short notice moving to the central coast. I have seen some negative reviews which is unfortunate but it certainly hasn't been my experience so far.

About Endeavour Early Education Kariong

Welcome to Endeavour Early Education Kariong

Endeavour Kariong is an immaculately presented modern child care centre conveniently located moments from the Kariong M1 interchange. Our leafy natural setting allows our children to explore their curiosity whilst learning through play. Endeavour Kariong caters to children aged 6 weeks and older and is open from 630 am to 6 pm.

Endeavour Early Education children are school ready, healthy and well rounded:

  • School ready through THRASS and STEM
  • Healthy through organic paddock to plate food, Munch & Move and Allied Health Professionals
  • Well rounded through extracurricular French language, music and sport
  • Happy, nurtured, loved and cared for by educators who love what they do

School readiness program

  • Literacy program employing the THRASS system that is used in NSW schools. THRASS stands for Teaching Handwriting, Reading And Spelling Skills. It is a system for teaching learners of any age the building blocks of reading and spelling. THRASS has been highly effective in schools and learning institutions since 1998 and it is the most widely used and recognised system for teaching the phonographics and orthography of English.
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) introduction including numeracy and Computer Gym. Computer Gym provides confidence with computer terminology and operation; and experience with coding and a wide variety of software.
  • Social skills including communication, independence and resilience

Healthy

  • All meals and snacks are provided. They are prepared fresh daily by our dedicated onsite chef. We use only the best local suppliers of organic, free range, hormone-free and pesticide-free nutritious produce.
  • Outdoor play areas have large garden beds that our children use to grow their own organic fruit and vegetables. When they are ready, our children harvest, help prepare and enjoy the fruits of their labour for their own paddock to plate experience. This encourages a child to become more curious and excited about trying new foods, and to broaden their palate.
  • Children participate in our daily Munch & Move program – a NSW Health initiative that supports the healthy development of children from birth to 5 years by promoting physical activity and healthy eating.
  • Allied Health Team providing specialist examination and support in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Dental, Optical and Paediatric Physiotherapy
  • Kinder m8 app that parents can access anywhere anytime. Provides instant access to their child’s daily information including what they have eaten, when they have slept, nappy change details, photos and video of activities and reports based on their child’s journal. Each parent’s app portal is private and can be accessed only by them.

Well rounded

  • Extracurricular French language. Learning a foreign language early helps stimulate children’s minds and gives them a positive attitude about learning languages and other cultures.
  • Music facilitated by registered and internationally acclaimed music therapists. Music therapy is a healthcare profession and music therapy programs help to enhance a child’s developmental functions. Music is processed on both sides of the brain. When a person is engaged in musical activities, the brain is actively firing more neurons and increasing the opportunity for development and learning.
  • Sport leveraging Ready Steady Go Kids, Australia’s leading multi-sport program for children.
  • Happy, nurtured, loved and cared for by educators who love what they do, supported by family owners

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

6 weeks - 3 years

These rooms contain plenty of resources to allow little ones to learn through play, including a building and construction zone, messy art area, comfy reading corner and the home corner for dress ups, baking and imaginative role play. There are also large spaces for movement and dance programs, as well as language and music sessions.

Health & nutrition

Health & nutrition

At Endeavour, all meals and snacks are provided. The organic seasonal menu is prepared fresh daily by the in house chef. The focus is on the fresh organic produce, with weekly deliveries from local suppliers.

The centre’s food is free range, hormone free and pesticide free – as well as being adaptable for any intolerances or allergies. With an on site garden and orchard, fresh fruit and veg is also grown at the centre with the help of the children.

Some of the children’s favourite meals include the organic meatballs with wholemeal couscous, and the fresh lasagna with salad. Some popular snacks are the spinach and cheese scrolls, fruit smoothies, and fresh fruit with organic yogurt. All made with produce from the garden.

Children help determine what is grown in the garden, which heightens their willingness to try new things and broaden their palate. Meal times are a shared experience overseen by the teachers, incorporating self-serve options where possible. The children are encouraged to share, pass ingredients around, take turns, help each other and clear away the plates.

Lunch

After his nap, Hayden heads outside to enjoy some water playtime with his friends. His educator gives him some toy boats to play with in the water.

Afternoon

Hayden enjoys storytime with his educators. Today they are reading The Wonky Donkey, and Hayden smiles as his educator reads and sings the words to him.

I am deeply concerned about the standard of care at Endeavour Early Education Kariong. The centre has consistently failed to provide adequate support for my nephew, who has additional needs. Children with additional needs require understanding, patience, and appropriate strategies, but the staff here have not demonstrated the ability or willingness to meet these requirements. On more than one occasion, my nephew has been unsupervised and even lost while in their care, which is a serious safety concern. Supervision overall is poor, and when issues are raised, staff members are dismissive and rude rather than collaborative or supportive. Families entrust their children to early education providers with the expectation of safety, respect, and inclusivity. Unfortunately, this centre has not met these basic standards. I cannot recommend Endeavour Early Education Kariong, particularly for families of children on the spectrum or with additional needs.

This centre is absolutely disgusting. They lost my friends kid for 2hrs and missed my younger brothers nappies all day causing him to get nappy rashes. I highly suggest you pull your kids out or consider not enrolling them for safety reasons.
