Our son started at Explore & Develop Baulkham Hills in early 2025, aged 15 months. With places in high demand, we initially secured just one day a week. The management team understood our need for more care and worked very hard to find openings, including notifying us through the parent app whenever temporary places became available. What began as a necessity gradually became a deliberate choice: our son now attends 4 days per week because we value the fine care and education he receives.<br>The purpose-built, beautifully maintained environment is immediately apparent on a tour. What impressed us more, however, only became visible over time: seasoned and responsive leadership team, warm and highly engaged educators, advanced educational methodology, varied and regularly changing programs, multilingual support, and detailed daily updates covering learning, meals and rest, with photos and videos. The small moments are particularly telling. At pick-up, I consistently see children engaged with educators, activities or one another; even late in the day, educators are still playing, talking and reading with them. I have watched an educator turn toilet training into a calm, reassuring moment by reading a story. Children often seem reluctant to leave.<br>As our son's attendance increased, we saw a remarkable improvement in his language, social communication, emotional expression and confidence. He has become happier, more capable and more open to the world around him.<br>For working parents who have to entrust much of their child’s day to others, this is the kind of centre that replaces guilt with reassurance. I would recommend it without hesitation to any families in Baulkham Hills and the surrounding Hills District.

After a terrible experience at another supposedly "5-star" centre, finding Explore & Develop Baulkham Hills has been an absolute blessing. The level of individual attention they give to each and every child is phenomenal—honestly the best I’ve ever seen.<br><br>​It makes a world of difference that their educators are permanent, in-house staff rather than agency replacements. You can truly see how much they genuinely care about your child's development in every single interaction.<br><br>​I couldn't be happier or recommend them more highly. Highly recommended. My little boy started daycare there when he was 15 months old. The educators have always been so caring and supportive, showing lots of patience, understanding, and empathy while helping him settle in and grow.<br><br>I really appreciate how much they care about each child and take the time to know them. The leadership team is also wonderful — they listen to families’ concerns and suggestions, and always make us feel heard and supported.<br><br>We feel very lucky to have found a place where our child feels happy, safe, and cared for. ❤️

This I must say is the best day care in the area.I took my baby girl in January this year at 10 months almost 11 and she settled in so quickly,she felt so at home,by end of week 1 she was already ready to go at drop off,she loves the food,sleeps well ,hasn't had any nappy rashes,honestly what more do you want other than knowing your child is safe and well taken care of.Its only been 6 months now and she still wants to stay at pick up.The educators are amazing and the leadership team as well,Merran,Taba and Tanya all get their hands dirty too,they play with the babies and actually do support all rooms which is very impressive.If you are looking for a day care,get into this one and thank me later

We’ve had a really great experience with Explore & Develop Baulkham Hills. The centre is well run, and it’s clear there’s strong management behind it. Everything feels organised, and the facilities are clean, modern, and well set up for the kids.<br>The educators are friendly, caring, and genuinely engaged with the children, which makes a big difference. Communication has also been really good, so we always feel informed and confident.<br>Overall, it’s a fantastic daycare centre and we’d definitely recommend it to other families.

It seams like they do not welcome those kids with eczema. They ask question like whether your child need special care during touring, which should be asked after enrolment. What is the purpose for asking this question during tour? skip those children who need special care

Choosing a childcare centre for my son was something I was incredibly anxious about. I worried he might be left behind or not fully understood, especially with his ASD. From the moment we started here, those fears began to fade. Merran, the director, is so hands on and genuinely creates a warm, welcoming environment and that care clearly flows through to every single staff member. The educators have been absolutely amazing with my boy. They are patient, understanding and truly take the time to connect with him. It honestly feels like they just get him. Being part of the STaR program has also been incredible. Watching him slowly come out of his shell and begin interacting with other children has meant the world to us. As an anxious mum, I truly couldn’t have found a better place for my son. The educators in the Jnr Nest room are nothing short of amazing and I’m so grateful we found the right fit for him.

I have nothing but kind words to say about Explore and Develop Baulkham Hills. My child loves the educators and the fun activities planned for the kids each day by Merran and the team. She eagerly looks forward to heading out to class each day. There is a genuine sense of community fostered by Merran and the center is exceptional in handling children who need special attention. The STAR program has been instrumental in helping my child out when she first joined the center.
