My husband and Myself, made the decision to take our toddler 2.3yrs old out of a home care facility around September 2025. His time so far being enrolled in Jimboomba Early Education center has proven to be a best choice we could have made for our son. Not only is he developing astronomically with his communication, numerical and vocabulary levels, but he is also greatly becoming a well-mannered and mature little toddler due to their teachings and guidance. We have a very active outdoor child who exceled at fine and gross motor skills since he was a baby but was slow to absorb the above-mentioned skill until his attendance to this facility.

He is also a very shy child when it comes to making friends, being around new people or crowds, but has made some great friends and companions and loves to enlighten both his father and me about his day, who he's played with and what he did.

Being an active daredevil that I know he is, especially when he is comfortable and feels safe, I'm happy to know that if he does anything like trip over and hurt himself (like his mother, he does have two left feet) that I am informed and notified upon collection and also called directly. I have never once felt that our son is unsafe, neglected or not being properly cared for while at the centre. The health, safety and wellbeing of the children and staff is clearly a top priority. The centre also has strict exclusion policies when children are unwell, which helps prevent illnesses from spreading throughout the centre.

The Staff are absolutely lovely and Friendly, and welcome both my son and his family with a warm comforting smile that will make you feel at ease trusting your child to their hands. My son openly will walk up to the teachers to give them a hug and scream goodbye and blows them kisses when we are leaving.
Every single teacher there is welcoming, energetic, happy, caring and enthusiastic when greeting and interacting with all children. You can tell that when a child is in their care that they care for them as if they were their own - I feel every Teacher there is extremely passionate about their Job and take great pride in the childrens care, health and safety.

We 100% recommend their Childcare to anyone who asks :) 10stars

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

“Let the child be the scriptwriter, director and the actor in their own play” - Magda Gerber

Nursery Space: 6 weeks – 2 years

Learning starts from before birth, and our Educators have created a welcoming and nurturing nursery environment where each baby feels safe to explore and discover new things - through their senses, their communication and cues (body language, facial expression and sounds) and through experimentation. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play including sensory play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing.

Toddler Space: 2 - 3 years

Our teachers and educators encourage the children to learn through play to help enhance their sensory-motor development. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games, role playing and reading experiences.

On any given day the Toddlers can be seen developing their numeracy by building a tower, sorting objects, pointing and identifying shapes and patterns and participating in counting songs and games.

Children in our toddler space are encouraged to participate in group play. Group play is important as it helps our toddlers develop important social skills such as, turn-taking, developing self-confidence and emotional self-regulation. Our skilled team helps children through talking, planning and role modelling.

Kindergarten Space: 3 – 6 years

Kindergarten is a unique time for learning with peers and developing skills for later learning including confidence and curiosity, important skills for starting school. Our play-based program has school readiness at its core, encouraging active engagement in learning and supporting a range of positive developmental outcomes including resilience, independence, critical thinking and creativity.

The oral language supports literacy learning and a child’s oral language ability is the best predictor for later success in learning to read and write. Hearing the sounds within a language is the first critical step for all literacy learning. Our team supports our Kindergarten children's literacy development by engaging in rich discussions, reading, storytelling, dramatic play and experimentation all of which introduce new vocabulary as part of everyday conversations.

Throughout the Kindergarten year, children use their language to share ideas, ask questions, express themselves, and connect with peers and adults in social settings.

Social-emotional skills, including the ability to self-regulate emotions, are supported through group learning experiences. Our team supports each child’s social and emotional development by labelling and talking about emotions and supporting appropriate responses as together, they engage in new and challenging situations. Our goal in the Kindergarten year is to prepare children and families for a smooth transition to primary school.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Our centre chef prepares and cooks nutritious meals daily, catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child. We believe that by encouraging active participation (such as growing their own fruit and vegetables, preparing, and finally cooking!) children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating across a wide variety of food.

Our centre offers seasonal whole food-based menus – created to delight the fussiest eaters.

Hi, my name is Amy, and I am the Centre Manager here at Community Kids Jimboomba. I am passionate about nurturing children’s curiosity, confidence and love of learning, while supporting their social and emotional development.

I began my career in long day care in 2010 as an assistant educator before moving into the out-of-school hours care sector. I have also worked as a Teacher Aide in both primary and high school settings, supporting students across a wide range of ages and learning needs. I returned to long day care in 2019 as a Lead Educator and progressed into leadership roles, including Assistant Centre Manager and Educational Leader. I joined Community Kids Jimboomba in May 2025 and remain deeply passionate about early childhood education.

Throughout my career, I have learned that every child is a capable and unique learner who develops at their own pace. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued and supported through strong, trusting relationships. This guides my child-centred, play-based approach, where I take the time to understand each child’s interests, strengths and individual needs.

I am passionate about nurturing children’s curiosity, confidence and love of learning, while supporting their social and emotional development. I believe early childhood education and care provides children with meaningful learning experiences, social connections and guidance from trained educators, complementing the learning that happens at home.

I am proud to lead a dedicated and caring team who put children first. Building strong relationships with families is central to my practice, and I value open communication, collaboration and working in partnership with families to support each child’s learning journey.

We couldn’t be happier with Community Kids Jimboomba and the care our daughter receives there. All of the staff are phenomenal and genuinely care about the children. ❤️

A special thank you to Amy, the Centre Director, who is always so quick to respond to any questions or queries I have. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever had to wait longer than a day for an email response, which I really appreciate.

Shania, Hayley and Harpreet have been absolutely amazing in educating and caring for our daughter and nephew. My sister and I are constantly amazed by how much their vocabulary has expanded, as well as the progress they are both making on their toileting journeys.

I have never once felt that our daughter is unsafe, neglected or not being properly cared for while at the centre. Our Daughter loves the nursery there. Always get updates through out the day via the app. We viewed most of the centres around the area andfrom when we opend the door we felt a good vibe. The floors was clean the centre was clean. All staff are great. The only downfall of this centre is no cameras but I believe its a near future plan. 5⭐️

I would highly recommend this daycare as they go above and beyond for the kids to ensure they cater to each child's individual and specific needs. They have a great way of making children feel safe and offer great nutritional meals to support the growth of the kids. If you're interested in a friendly, multicultural and understanding school environment where your child will thrive, definitely looking into enrolling them at community kids Jimboomba.
