Our shy little girl has come along in leaps and bounds since starting at Southbank Montessori. She's learning things way ahead of what we expected, she's made heaps of good friends and she adores the staff! Going to 'big school' (as we call it) is now the highlight of her week, and it's all thanks to the amazing people behind the scenes. I'd keep her there till she was 15 if we could ;) I STRONGLY recommend Southbank Montessori, especially if you have nervous/shy kids. Drop them off here and watch them learn to soar! EDITED TO ADD: After three amazing years, my little girl has now graduated from Southbank Montessori and is off to REAL big school! I cannot thank the staff here enough, they have done incredible work and smiled through every tantrum, eating issue and poo accident! Ishana and Roshanti have the magic touch when it comes to getting clingy kids to let go of mum and dad, and they are just incredible educators and role models for the kids. Truly incredible day care/early learning. Our son attended here from age 2.5years, and we all loved it. The educators were very caring and nurturing. They employ the Montessori approach very thoughtfully - encouraging independence, modelling grace and courtesy, engaging children in learning through following their interests. We could see the positive impacts on our child including growing confidence, improving skills in language, numeracy, social and emotional development and practical life skills. Nirosha and her team put so much thought and planning into the materials and activities, and organising events (like a heart-warming mother's day concert) and incursions. The centre was very well run, and very responsive to parent's concerns and feedback. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

This was the second centre we tried for our first born (after not feeling that comfortable with the first). We instantly loved Southbank Montessori, it was in an older property and didn't look as aesthetically pleasing as the first (which was brand new) but it was the educators and Montessori way that made it stand out. I love their principles and ethics. All of the educators seemed so authentic and loving (all mostly mothers themselves), I felt 100% comfortable leaving my little one here, I have recommended them and will continue sending our little one to Southbank for as long as we can! Southbank Montessori is really good for child development and growth. My child is learning many new things and is comfortably settled there. Staff is also very good they take very good care of children. They give toilet training facility also which is not available in other day care.

The carers are lovely, the area (especially outdoors) is fun and enriching and the curriculum is progressive and empathetic and well thought out. I have found the staff at both locations for Southbank just lovely. They are very friendly, caring, helpful, knowledgeable, attentive to the children and how they are progressing; and happy to talk about your child to you. They feel like family. Since moving to Southbank my child just took off with all his learning. He has lots of confidence in what he can do. Due to his confidence in what he can do I get him helping with lots of things as home. I am always surprised at how much he learns and retains from class. He seems to enjoy his time there and often wants to stay longer when I fetch him. I enjoy the updates we get from Southbank as well as the parent information events that are offered. For my son this was the best place for us and I highly recommend it to everyone.

They showed genuine care for my child. I will always appreciate the love.

My son Caleb loves all his teachers and has lots of “jobs” to choose from. He always comes home feeling happy and tells me what he’s done during the day. Staff regularly send updates through kept me. The center is big with two classes. They have an indoor and outdoor classroom. Staff are easily contactable and approachable about any issues. My son has flourished in this environment.
