Werribee little learners have been an essential part of the past year of our lives, and will continue to be. Our son started here at 1 year old, and has come leaps and bounds in the past year. He is comfortable with, and loves the educators, he is excited to attend, and is always well fed and well looked after. The team has become a little extension of our village, we are so happy to have somewhere where our son can be comfortable, safe, and happy while we are at work. Thank you for all you do for our children, you are very much appreciated and valued- we wouldn't be able to do it without you all! We can't wait to see our son progress further during his time at daycare.

My 2 year old son has been attending this daycare for 8 months now and it has been absolutely wonderful. First of all, the owners, Amy and David, are such caring people. They make sure the kids are comfortable and happy, and do a great job of looking after us parents too! I have dealt with breast cancer this year, and they have supported me in ways that even friends and family haven't done. They truly looked after me and made sure I was ok, especially since I am a single parent. Words can't describe how grateful I am to them. They really are the old school family village that you want looking after your child. Secondly, the educators genuinely care and love the children. You can see it by how attentive they are with them. They teach them such good habits, like washing hands as soon as they arrive, and before meals. They get the children to put the toys away and help clean up, which my son happily does at home now too! When the children are playing outside, the educators are all spread out throughout the yard to make sure that they can keep an eye on all areas of the play equipment. They regularly update you with funny stories that happened throughout the day and will ask questions in order to assist the children's growth. I love that they create a portfolio of updates, stories, skill checks, and photos which they add to every week, and that we get to keep once it is full. It's such a great memento to keep and look back on! I much prefer that to an app on the phone. The yard is a bit small compared to some other centres, however, I went to a very large centre before this one, and I hated it because there was too much space for the kids too roam and the educators were not spread out and watching them - they were just sitting together chatting all the time - so kids could be doing anything out of sight and the educators wouldn't know. The big centre would regularly lose my son's drink bottle or teddy - that definitely doesn't happen here at Little Learners. They always keep on top of everything. Thank you to everyone at Little Learners - you are all appreciated!!

About Werribee Little Learners

We are a family owned and operated Centre, which has been operating for over 13 years in Werribee,  which prides itself in high quality old fashioned, child orientated education and care for your children.

Amy has worked in the health and community services industry for over 25 years, firstly as a Nurse specifically working with children and adults with additional needs and then moving across to childcare working not only as an Educator, but then went on to managing and directing large 100 place Centre's for many years. David has a passion for caring for and educating children, after being successful in the building and construction industry he felt it was time to give something back to the community and reap the rewards that comes from spending time educating children and watching them grow and develop.

Together we have 2 children, who are now grown.

We were fortunate enough to have them in small family operated childcare while growing up and this has inspired and motivated us to recreate the warm, small, old fashioned idea of childcare education and development

Pets are very important to us as the children love being responsible for them and the greetings every morning by many children make our hearts full.

We pride ourselves on our continuity of care with many educators having been with us for 10 years or longer. This is possible by our offering flexibility of working hours and helping them to find the important work life balance required to remain passionate within the Early Childhood Sector.
