Surprised at the low number of reviews for this childcare. This place is 5 stars and I recommend to everyone! Youngest is still here and we've had our kids attend over last 5.5 years. Majority of staff have remained unchanged over this period which says alot about the culture. I can't fault a single educator, each of them has been fabulous. Each day my kids get dropped off, I know theyll be well looked after and have fun. They have good ratios of staff to children, with the baby room having the most and tapering off for the eldest. I like that different age rooms can play together with huge numbers of staff watching in the colourful, shaded outdoor spaces. The management proactively update policies, and other doco and seek parent feedback. They publish a simple monthly calendar of events so you know extra things the kids will have on like book week, pyjama day, cultural days like Holi and EID. To me this flags they are forward leaning and professional. They happily answer my dumb questions when I dont understand what OSHC, BSC, ASC and the on/off week scheduling of preschool/kindi transitions means! Honestly, I think we just got lucky picking this place. We moved out of town for a year and sent kids elsewhere and felt like every 2nd day I was filling out an incident report for kids getting hurt. That happens here too but at least its not frequent and I get a call and know my kids are in good hands. Thanks Tash, Neha and team!

As a parent, I am so satisfied with NECC. NECC is the third childcare centre for my son in Gungahlin area, and here is the first childcare centre that my son does love - he wants to go to the centre even on the weekend, so hubby and I sometimes drive around the centre to show him that the gate is closed on the weekend. He did not cried at all during the drop-off time on the first day after one-day orientation! My son always says "all teachers love children" or "teachers are happy". You know, kids are honest. The staff stability enables children to feel secure around educators. Also the director (Natasha), the educational leader (Veronica) and all educators are attentive, friendly and supportive for the learning journey with our son. This centre is such a small community. I love this warm and welcoming atmosphere. As a trainee educator, I feel so lucky to meet these lovely people and learn lots of work practices from them on-site! The management team and all educators respect each other and look after each other. I strongly recommend NECC for your child/ren!!
