We moved our son to First Steps from another care provider a year ago. He has been so much happier, and we wish we had joined First Steps from the beginning. The staff are patient, professional, and genuinely caring. The children are happy and are taught to be kind and looking after each other. The environment is clean and welcoming. There are plenty of excursions: all of the kids just participated in the Christmas concert, and they are now preparing for a trip to Werribee in two weeks. Lucky children. We will be enrolling our younger son at First Steps soon without any hesitation.

Both of my children have been attending this centre for more than two years, and they have learned so much during their time here. The first step has small animals and a vegetable garden, and the children enjoy weekly cooking classes as well as occasional excursions. They have visited the museum, science centre, aged-care, and even the supermarket, where they learned how to buy things independently. They really love this child care — they even ask me on weekends if they can go and play! Seeing them grow and thrive here makes me incredibly happy💕

We couldn't be happier with our experience! From the very first day, the staff have been warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. It's clear they are passionate about early childhood development and go above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the kids. Our child has grown so much socially, emotionally, and intellectually since starting here. The daily activities are engaging and thoughtfully planned—everything from creative arts and outdoor play to early literacy and learning. We also love how well they communicate with parents, sending regular updates and photos so we always feel connected to our child’s day. Most importantly, our child absolutely loves going each day and comes home happy and full of stories. We feel confident and at ease knowing they are in such good hands. Highly recommend this centre to any parent looking for a place where their child will be truly cared for and encouraged to thrive!

Moved our daughter to this centre following a poor experience at another centre. Night and day difference, caring educators with small class sizes, management is always readily available to answer questions. Our daughter settled in very quickly and has a great experience here

Lovely centre with incredible staff!! I send 2 children here and couldn’t be happier with the service. I have complete faith in the staff and their abilities and feel confident knowing my kids are being well cared for. The centre has beautiful rooms with lots of engaging activities conducted everyday. We love First Steps and highly recommend the centre 😊

G'day, I'm utterly disappointed with this kindy, mates. Took my little one for a swim sesh and spotted bruises on his arms. Not bonza at all. The teachers? Crikey, they're a rowdy lot, always yelling at the kiddos. And the tucker - it's all cold grub! Not what you'd expect for your nipper. Fair dinkum, I thought we'd get top-notch care, but this is just ridgy-didge terrible. Wouldn't recommend this joint to anyone. We're off to find a better place, where they treat ankle-biters right.

Uncaring educators treat children as objects not babies in need. Asked many times to amend the mistakes they made, but no response whatsoever. No one ever answers the phone or email, poor management from top to end. Do yourself a favour DO NOT put your kid in their care.

I could not be happier to have landed in First Steps ELJ after having toured possibly every childcare in a 10 km radius. All staff and management are attentive and caring towards the children, with a strong focus on maximizing every learning opportunity. The centre is cosy and lovingly furnished and decorated, with a mix of modern and vintage pieces which does not give the sterile 'hospital-looking' feeling you get in other childcare centres. There is a great emphasis on utilizing natural and eco-friendly materials. The massive outdoor area is what every child dream is made of (Yes! Pets too!), offering plenty of opportunity for outdoor learning and sensory activities. The program is vast and inclusive, every child can find their place. Lastly, location, the centre is in a quiet street but off a main road, with plenty of parking space on site, making it super accessible and convenient. Ticks all the boxes!
