Hello! My name is Darren and I run ‘Daddy’s Family Day Care’. I have been working as a Family Day Care Educator with Excellence In Care for 11 years now. I am located within Forest Lake and surrounds and do School Service for the local Forest Lake State School. Above all, I am a family man, married with four beautiful children of our own.
We had the privilege of moving to Australia and New Zealand on Christmas Eve of 2007, and have been actively apart of the local community for the past 17 years. All of my children have attended Forest Lake State School and Secondary School. During the weekends, I enjoy exploring different parks with my family and friends, as well as hiking and fishing.
My original decision to start Family Day Care was due to my wife. She had worked with children for most of her life and I saw the first-hand joy she had when working in the small, individualised setting of FDC. The children responded well to me, so I decided to embark as an educator myself. I have loved having the opportunity to guide and support them on their learning journey of belonging, being and becoming effective learners through social constructs. I personally empower children to be able to make and decisions to influence events, to have an impact to their world and still have safe place they can call home.
If you have any questions, please contact me!
