About Guardian Childcare & Education Richlands

Guardian Richlands is a custom-designed centre offering an inspiring and stimulating early learning environment for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. Our childcare and long daycare centre is conveniently located near Centenary Highway and the Richlands train station, making it a convenient choice for busy families.

Guardian’s exclusive To BE Me program creates a unique learning adventure for every child. It demonstrates clearly how play connects to learning and development, offering families new insights and a lifelong record of these important years.

Nursery Rooms are our specialty. Our experienced Baby Ambassador and Nursery team take the time to really know your baby’s routines and personality, supporting them to feel safe and settled. Our Nursery rooms are calm, nurturing spaces that feel like a home away from home.

By focusing on Nutrition for Life, Guardian gives families peace of mind, knowing their children are developing habits that can set them up for a future of exposure to different foods, good eating patterns and healthy eating. Our qualified cook / chef provides 5 healthy foods every day from our in-house kitchen.

The Queensland Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week (40 weeks per year). The funding off sets the fees for children who turn four years old by 30 June in the year before they attend primary school. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees.

Safety and wellbeing are our highest priority, giving families peace of mind in the safe childcare we provide. We’re proud of our centre, and we believe this is the best childcare in Richlands.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

To BE Me is Guardian’s exclusive learning program specifically designed for each age and stage of your child’s early years.

The program includes resources and tools that support learning and make it easy to see your child’s progress along Learning and Development Pathways.

It groups your child’s learning into seven areas to help you see this progress clearly. Each of these areas has behaviours or skills that are generally linked to each age and stage.

Children receive their own My Learning and Development Book, which is updated regularly with their progress.

To BE Me is underpinned by Guardian’s world class teaching program that has been developed over many years of research and thousands of hours observing how children develop.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

We believe in nutrition for life, supporting children to develop healthy eating habits from an early age. Qualified Chefs and Cooks in our centres create fresh and nutritious meals each day, using seasonal, high-quality ingredients that align with Australian Dietary Guidelines.

Meals are designed to be delicious, introduce children to diverse flavours, and make eating healthy food a positive experience.

Managing allergies and intolerances is part of how we keep mealtimes safe and enjoyable. Every child’s needs are carefully tracked, meals are supervised by permanent educators, and allergens are strictly controlled.

Beyond providing wholesome food, we use mealtimes as learning opportunities. Children practice independence by serving themselves and engaging in conversations about food, building confidence and understanding of healthy choices.

When our centre was under a temporary closure, we had the pleasure of joining with the Guardian Richlands centre. A bit nervous for how my son would go given he had been at our usual centre since 5 months old, Sam and the team went above and beyond to make sure the transition was smooth and Alfie was supported. In the short time we were there each educator went out of their way to make connections not just with my family but with all the families who had been transitioned to the centre. By the end of the first week everybody knew my name, who my son was and what his particular care needs were. They were honest, giving me feedback if he’d had a tough day and they celebrated every small win, which gave me so much confidence. The food served smelled absolutely delightful everytime you set foot into the centre and the leadership team at the front desk always made time for my family. The facilities are absolutely beautiful with an enriching playground my older son loved to be in during pick ups, often asking me if we could stay longer! The centre was always tidy and well presented, I could not recommend this centre enough. Sam has done an amazing job transforming this centre and you can feel her passion and love for what she does once you walk through the doors and this passes through to her team and the children in the centre.

Lack of cleanliness and hygiene Poor quality staff Do not prepare meals good enough for children so they can have good enough Good workers change childcare job within few weeks so they end up having least quality staff Always under staff Management have no interest in running business After changing childcare within a week i can feel the difference

Guardian Richlands has been amazing for several reasons. The Educators in Nursery 1 (Fran and Lovejeet) and staff (Erica) are supportive, kind, and so generous with their care. They were accommodating with my little one’s needs and proactively considered my concerns as a first-time mum. The centre itself is organised and I had no issues or worries leaving my child in their care.

Response from the owner 21 Aug 2024

Thank you Sabrina for your 5-star rating for our centre in Richlands. We really appreciate your positive review and look forward to creating a great experience at Guardian over many more days to come!
