Provided excellent care for our little boy. The staff are all very friendly and he was made to feel safe and had a great time! Highly recommend.

My child has been very fortunate to have spent her childcare years at Explore and Develop Castlereagh St. The following was my family's Thank You message to Paul and his team earlier this week: "We would like an express our heartfelt thanks to you and your team for having performed such a wonderful role in our child's development over the past few years. We can’t thank you enough for all the efforts - our child is unbelievably fortunate to have been here. To illustrate, during our interview for "Big School" which went extremely well, the interviewer’s feedback was, “Did you notice that your child interacted with every single item we have placed (in a meaningful way)? Your child did not miss a single item.” Hence, kudos again to you and your team for nurturing our child so well over the past few years. Our child is always happy to arrive at Explore and Develop Castlereagh St in the morning, and leaves the centre in the late afternoon happier than in the morning!"

Our experience was with the Banksia room and we sincerely deeply appreciated the wondrous affection and guidance provided by the educators to our child. If we mentioned an educators name at home, our child would light up. All interactions with the educators were so warm, and i'd go so far as to say the room leader embraced the family when we came. Banksia team are really tight knit and that oneness really shows and sets up a beautiful space for the kids. I couldn't have asked for more.

Explore & Develop Castlereagh Street has been an amazing part of our family’s journey, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. My son attended this wonderful childcare centre for two and a half years, starting from the age of 17 months. The educators at Explore & Develop have been amazing. Their warmth, dedication, and genuine care for each child are evident in everything they do. They took the time to truly understand my son as an individual, nurturing his interests, supporting his development, and creating a safe and loving environment where he could thrive. The educators are not only highly skilled but also incredibly passionate about their work, and it shows in the way they engage with the children and foster a sense of belonging. My son formed strong bonds with his educators in each of the centre's rooms. The centre itself is thoughtfully designed, with a focus on creating stimulating and enriching learning experiences. The activities and programs are diverse, creative, and tailored to the children’s developmental stages, ensuring they are both fun and educational. My son came home every day excited to share what he had learned and experienced, whether it was a new craft project, a song or story he loved, or a skill he had mastered. It was clear that his time at Explore & Develop was helping him grow into a confident, curious, and happy little boy. Communication with families is another area where the centre excels. Paul (the owner) and the educators kept us informed every step of the way, sharing updates, photos, and insights into my son's progress. This open and transparent approach made us feel like true partners in his early learning journey. Explore & Develop Castlereagh Street is very conveniently located near Martin Place in Sydney. It was very close to my office and my wife's office, making it easier to balance work and family life. The availability of parking bays for pick-up and drop-off was a bonus – I don't usually drive to the city, but I used it frequently to take my son to and from childcare when on parental leave. My son is now starting at a preschool close to home, but we will always look back on his time at Explore & Develop with gratitude and fondness. If you are looking for a childcare centre that goes above and beyond, I wholeheartedly recommend Explore & Develop Castlereagh Street.

We love explore and develop castlereagh. Having had a disappointing experience at another daycare, we were so nervous to move in November 2023 to explore and develop. 1.5 years on and three rooms later (banksia, waratah and Lilly pilly), our son loves his daycare and all his educators over all his rooms. Each transition to a new room has been so supported by the educators who truely care that he is happy and confident in his new environment. We are lucky to have found Paul and the team and can’t wait for our little girl to start in January in the beautiful baby room.

We’re so grateful for the whole team at EAD. They’ve looked after our son for years with complete care and attention. Our son comes home from daycare happy and we know how well looked after and stimulated he is everyday. We have a great relationship with the educators who are always very communicative about how his day has been and any issues or achievements he’s had. Thank you so much EAD - we’d be lost without you!!

Do not send your child to Lily Pilly. The teacher-to-child ratio is poor, and they group children aged 3 to 6 together. My child’s face was completely deeply scratched by an older child, and when I raised concerns, Paul said, "This happens in every childcare." Totally unacceptable. We withdrew immediately.

I am stating a fact: the management of the Lilly Pilly Room in this daycare is extremely poor. A child sustained a serious facial injury, yet the teachers did not call the parents to inform them. They even refused to acknowledge their negligence. The quality of care provided does not justify the high fees charged.

I am incredibly grateful for the support my child received at E&D since she was 1. The staff created wonderful memories with fun excursions and incursions, and worked closely with us to ensure a smooth transition to school, focusing on social skills, early literacy, and emotional resilience. Thanks to the dedication of the educators and Paul’s continuous efforts to improve, my child’s confidence grew, preparing her well for school. She transitioned easily into kindy this year and settled in quickly. I wholeheartedly recommend E&D to any parent seeking a childcare center that invests in their child's growth and development.
