Programs

Programs

The centre has a wide variety of age-specific programs for healthy holistic development.

Infants & Toddlers

Designed for the littlest ones in care, the Seamist Studio caters for babies and toddlers with special education and play curriculum designed to encourage their natural curiosity. The multi-age space helps children learn from each other and interact meaningfully with love, empathy and understanding.

Pre-kinder

The pre-kinder program is run in the Moonglade Studio with a strong focus on social, physical and emotional development. Educators encourage curiosity and eagerness to learn through creative activities including art, music and ‘hands on’ experiences, and help build skills in readiness for kindergarten.

Kinder

For kindergarten students, the Willow Walk studio room offers a rhythmic routine and allows for whole group discussions and explorations of concepts. Children can direct their own learning with engaging, interactive and fun experiences that are set up around the room.

The school readiness program prepares children to transition seamlessly to primary school and lays the foundation for a lifetime of positive learning experiences.

Happy Feet Fitness

Happy Feet Fitness educates children on the importance of keeping fit and healthy through exercise, healthy eating and fun activities. The program is run by qualified fitness teachers and focuses on healthy hygiene practices, healthy eating and physical activity.

Yoga Champs

Yoga gives children the opportunity to strengthen physically, mentally and emotionally in a natural, healthy and enjoyable way. It encourages self-esteem and body awareness and teaches children how to relax, focus and be calm. This in turn helps children to develop social/emotional intelligence, communication skills, trust and empathy.

Hey Dee Ho

Hey Dee Ho uses traditional children’s songs, current contemporary songs and dances and a selection of original Australian compositions. Developed in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Music and Childhood, the fun program aids emotional and intellectual development for infants, toddlers, Pre-Kinders and Kindergarten children.

LCF Mandarin

Children take Mandarin classes on Fridays where the language is delivered through fun activities and popular preschool games. The carefully structured program helps all age groups learn a second language quickly and naturally, which aids in the development of critical and creative thinking skills.

Pottery

Possum Potters is an optional class for 3-5 year olds. Clay is a wonderful medium for creativity, and the program fosters an appreciation of art, plus self-expression, creative flow and confidence.

Theatre and Community Studies

The Theatre and Community program teaches basic concepts of performance and the stage. The children connect with different community groups to create a performance for a large audience. Through this rich learning experience, children engage with a diverse range of people and study big social topics such as equality and humanitarian rights.

There are truly no words to describe how wonderful our experience has been at Aurora in Rowville. The educators have become like family to us, and over the past six years I have had the pleasure of meeting so many caring and amazing people.

My son is currently in the 4 year old kinder, which sadly is our final year at the centre. Before him, my daughter, who is now seven, attended Aurora from the time she was a toddler.

From the Seamist Room right through to the kindergarten years, every educator has been incredibly supportive, nurturing, and genuinely invested in my children’s growth and wellbeing. They have always taken the time to understand each stage of my children’s development and have shown such genuine care.

Both of my children have learnt so much during their time at Aurora. The communication from the educators has always been excellent, keeping us informed about their day so we could continue supporting their learning at home. They have also done an amazing job preparing both of my children for the transition to primary school.

I cannot recommend Aurora Rowville highly enough. It has been such a positive and memorable part of our family’s journey, and we will always be grateful for the love, care, and dedication shown by every member of the team.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Aurora Rowville! The lovely educators have done an excellent job preparing our eldest child for school and we’ve been very pleased with how our younger child is progressing and thriving in their care. The team is caring, supportive and genuinely invested in each child’s development. We also love the daily updates which provide great insights into learning activities taking place for the day. Highly recommend!

Best daycare around! We have been going since my little one was 8 months and she has grown and developed through their amazing teaching and play. Would recommend over and over again. The staff are exceptional and so deeply caring that you have complete trust in leaving your loved one in their care. Don't look any further and book your little one in ASAP! If they have a spot, take it. You wont be disappointed.
