Happy Ducklings’ Philosophy
We aim to provide an environment where children feel comfortable, safe and respected; where their thoughts, ideas and opinions are valued and welcomed.
We accept that all children are unique with individual abilities, interests and dreams; it is these characteristics which will help them become remarkable adults.
We see children as confident, capable little people, who are able to recognise their own comfort zones, take calculated risks and make their own choices.
We believe that children have the right to explore the outdoors in all elements of weather, to enjoy uninhibited play: to dig in the mud, climb trees and rocks, to build sandcastles and to play in the rain and the snow.
We encourage family input, especially their cultural traditions and celebrations; we are grateful for the knowledge and information that families bring.
We honour and respect the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples and the land on which we play. We will help the children to learn about our Australian heritage and Indigenous traditions and beliefs.
We are passionate about allowing children to be children, to learn and discover at their own pace through play and exploration. We hope that each child creates wonderful childhood memories.
