We couldn’t be happier with the care and support we receive at Mini Masterminds BLS! The educators are incredibly caring, welcoming and attentive. They create such a nurturing and positive environment that my little ones arrive each day feeling happy, confident, and excited to learn and have fun. We feel so lucky to be part of the Mini Masterminds BLS family. Highly recommend to any family looking for quality early childhood education and care! About Mini Masterminds Brighton Le Sands

Welcome to Mini Masterminds Brighton-Le-Sands!

At Mini Masterminds, we are committed to providing our Minis with an unprecedented level of individual care, quality education and genuine love, all of which are guided by our core values.

Our service extends well beyond just providing a safe and caring environment for our Minis. We believe that innovation drives development in our little ones. By exposing our Minis to a variety of different experiences and activities, we help them take pride in doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. This commitment to quality helps us to ensure each Mini's best start to life.

Our collaborative approach encourages diversity and inclusion, ensuring every Mini feels accepted and develops the ability to think, imagine and play freely as they start their life's journey. Most importantly, our commitment to integrity to our Minis and families is ensured in our promise to apply high ethical standards every day through the use of National Regulations and Laws.

All Mini Masterminds enrolled families at our centres receive complimentary Happy Families Memberships, led by renowned parenting expert Dr Justin Coulson. This gives you access to a wide range of trusted parenting tools, resources, and webinars—designed to support you every step of your parenting journey.

All preschool children at our centres receive FREE access to Reading Eggs and Mathseeds – interactive programs used in NSW schools to support early literacy and numeracy development in a fun and engaging way.

Programs

Programs

Mini Masterminds sees innovation as a driver for development in our Minis. The inclusive extra-curricular activities encourage diversity and inclusion, ensuring every Mini feels accepted as they play and learn.

Our Minis have access to the latest equipment to encourage creative free play and holistic development. All activities are included as part of the daily fee, including:

Sports program: For our Minis aged 3 and up, the centre offers the ‘Mini Champions’ sports program. This encourages our Minis to gain fitness regardless of their athletic ability, and helps build self-esteem and confidence.

Language program: Our Minis are taught languages from native speakers at the centre, further developing and strengthening their cognitive function, problem-solving skills and cultural awareness.

Cooking program: Our Minis can take part in the ‘Mini Chefs’ cooking class, a fun hands-on class that encourages our Minis to experiment in the kitchen while learning about basic cooking techniques and smart food choices. These classes teach kitchen safety, food preparation and proper food handling practices.

Yoga program: Each week our Minis aged 2 and up take part in ‘Mini Yoga Club’ at the centre. This practice is associated with learning, memory and regulating emotions, and it helps our Minis to learn positivity and self-acceptance.

Regular excursions: Our Minis can extend their learning outside of the centre by taking part in excursions. Some examples include the Easter Show and visiting local parks for a picnic day.

In-house incursions: Special visitors to the centre can share a wealth of knowledge with our Minis, as they can learn, discover and explore new and exciting things. Some incursions include native wildlife and reptile visits, petting zoos, dentists visits and cultural exploration with visits from Indigenous artists

Meet Diana and Josie, our Brighton Le Sands Centre Directors!

Diana:
After starting her career in the childcare industry 22 years ago, Diana continues to grow and build her passion for the field each year. Diana is a qualified Diploma trained educator and a Mother of three. She understands that each child’s needs can differ drastically from one to the other. As an educator, she strives to ensure that the day-to-day care provided to each child and their families is precisely that: unique, personal and flexible to accommodate each and every child’s needs. Diana understands the importance of hands-on learning experiences, that allow children to challenge themselves, learn and grow to their full potential. She strives to implement and provide a fun, caring and loving environment for all children that she has the pleasure of teaching.

Josie:
Josie started her career in early childhood education in 2006 and has been working in the sector since. With over 18 years’ of experience she has obtained advanced diploma in children services, Bachelor of Early childhood studies and a Bachelor of Education (birth to 5 years).

Her passion for early learning and watching children grow still shines strong. As a Mother of two she believes that the first five years of a child’s life are fundamentally important and the foundation which shapes their future health, happiness, growth, development, and love of learning.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

As a family-owned and operated centre, Mini Masterminds builds strong connections with centre families and the wider community.

By taking a collaborative approach with parents and the community, the centre encourages diversity and inclusion. This ensures that every Mini feels accepted and part of the Mini Masterminds ‘family’.

Parent feedback helps inform programs, which aim to build confident, independent and active learners. The centre invites families to drop in and speak to our Educators. Families also participate in special events and cultural celebrations throughout the year.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

In addition to the National Curriculum, Mini Masterminds is proud to have developed a bespoke Curriculum in consultation with well-regarded Early Childhood Teacher, Jacob Camilleri.

Central to this is a unique Prep School Program which exposes children to the NSW Foundation Font. It focuses not just on the Early Years Framework but also the Early Stage 1 Curriculum. By merging the Prep School and Kindergarten lessons, our Minis will have a head start when it comes to their formal schooling.

The focus of the Curriculum is on play-based learning, which ensures each Mini develops, understands and takes responsibility at their own pace. The centre does away with the dated early learning methods of set lesson plans. Instead, it embraces individuality, personal growth and current abilities, allowing each Mini to comfortably develop in a warm, secure and supportive environment.

The centre’s programs allow for our Minis to move freely around the activities, making their own unique choices, while ensuring that all key learning areas are promoted and explored. The overall aim of the curriculum is to develop each Mini's independence, while fostering confidence in communication and learning.

Mini Masterminds BLS centre has been a wonderful environment for my child. The educators are warm, attentive, and genuinely care about each child’s development. My child feels happy, safe, and supported, and I’ve noticed great progress in their social and learning skills since attending.

We moved our child from probably one of the worst daycares to Berry paths and I can say this is the best daycare in Rockdale/Brighton Le Sands area!! The staff are so loving and caring and the educators are amazing at what they do. They have little turn over in staff unlike other daycares so the most amazing bonds are created with your child. They really do excel and stand out compared to other daycares.
