Our daughter started at Koolkidz at 11 months old and the staff have helped her settle in really well! The managers Donna & Jess are wonderfully supportive. Kacie & her team in the ladybugs room genuinely love what they do and are wonderful with the kids

This centre mishandled my child’s final week of care and charged me full fees for the last three days without applying CCS. At no point was I informed—verbally or in writing—that CCS would not apply if my child was absent in the final week. My child was genuinely unwell, and this important requirement was never communicated to me. The only information provided was that my child needed to sign in and sign out on the last day for Centrelink purposes, which does not explain or clarify that CCS would be removed if he was sick. This lack of clear communication directly led to an unexpected full‑fee charge. When I raised the issue, the centre still deducted the payment without providing a valid explanation. This falls short of the transparency and accuracy expected from a childcare provider handling CCS‑related billing. Families rely on clear, honest communication, and unfortunately, that was not my experience.

My 2 grandchildren attend this service and it has been amazing to watch their growth and development since they started. On the occasion when I pick them up or attend events the educators always greet and welcome me, share with me what my grandchildren have learnt for the day aswell as make me feel part of their community. I highly recommend this service

A supportive, professional and welcoming childcare centre - Look no further if you are looking for quality childcare. This centre provides excellent care and a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. The educators are attentive and approachable, always taking the time to support each child’s individual needs. Communication with families is clear and consistent, and the learning activities are well planned, engaging, and age-appropriate. It’s reassuring to know our child is in such capable hands, and we’ve seen their confidence and skills develop every week. We’re very happy with the quality of care and would highly recommend this centre to other families looking for a place that is both professional and welcoming.

Our family love Kool Kidz and could not recommend it highly enough! My youngest 2 have been attending Kool Kidz for nearly 4 years and we have found the staff and management to be so lovely. I've been so grateful to Donna in the way that she has supported our family ever since she started. They care about the children in a really genuine way and have shown so much patience and understanding. I particularly like the play based learning foundation that they use. The kids learn while having fun. There are so many different kinds of sensory activities for the children and I have always felt that the kids are supported in reaching their developmental milestones. On a personal note, Last year our family went through something very traumatic and Donna (the manager) was so amazing in the way she supported and helped us through that. There was a real sense that we were part of the Kool Kidz family. The staff and management went above and beyond to support our family while we were away and went out of their way to help us with the transition upon our return. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to send their kids here!

Parent of a toddler attending this center, some educators are really nice with professionalism and care offered to the kids. While some are total opposite, speaking to center management is such a struggle, mostly reception is un-attended. I'd mention here some of the incidents(not all) to grab management's and other parents' attentions. 1st - My 1.5 year old fell from the chair hit and cut his lip from inside out, bruised and bleeding, I was not called or informed for 3 hours. I then happen to call and check on him on that call I was offered the words "oh you know what happened to lips, that's why you are calling to check". I was shocked to my core and had no clue. luckily working from home I rushed to the center where I saw him in such a condition, where on his big injury and pain he was left without me(mother). an educator was cuddling him and giving him comfort but Why I was not informed, no one thought of following procedures or using general logical brains. after a lot of follow up I received an apology email and that's it. 2nd - after couple of months, now in recent week I found my 1.5 yo sucking on an empty water bottle(store bought, not any kid's bottle with rough edges) for 10 mins an educator sitting close to him did nothing about this neither he was offered his water bottle. Educator, Jasmine, was chilling, literally. I reported this to the service manager - no response received till date. 3rd - I went to center to pick up my son, he had purple lips, frozen hands, and I ran to him, he was drenched 4 layers of clothing all drenched, in peek Melbourne winter doors wide open. when I asked educator what happened to him, Jasmine is her name. she went I don't know he was all dry 5 mins ago. ok so in 5 mins he managed to do something which you do not know what, and he went purple and frozen, you are not watching him and may be distracted with their own kids as they are around. I am certain it cannot happen in 5 mins, and if so watch camera footage for 5 mins and explain how that happened. he was drenched front to back to his socks even. I found service manager just then I spoke to her, she insisted he needs changing which I agree but why he was not changed before until I am finding all these. If he was to go to ambulance or urgent care because of chills or hypothermia, would the center help a single mother providing a responsible educator for support for the duration of emergency care? - Dear management, we all are human and can make errors etc everything is understandable, however we choose our profession and if it is affecting little lives, it is greater responsibility than other jobs. So please provide little explanation and larger solutions. Every time reporting something is so difficult and keep on following up like we have no other things to do. No jobs, no chores, no life... It is easy to withdraw the kid from there and enroll somewhere else however I do not think as a management you want to see that? Let me know if that is the solution. - when I enrolled I was promised all sorts of care and support and I won't lie some educators are so amazing they have supported my son and my family really well. but they are not there all the times, as they have life like we all have. Harder but right thing to do is to hire right people, provide continuous training and on some incidents like above making them responsible and taking right actions. I will be waiting to hear back.

Leaving your child at this Kool Kidz Melton South felt no different than leaving them alone on a road. My daughter went hours without a sip of water or going to toilet, while staff excused it by saying, “We can’t force them.” She was spoken to harshly, isolated during playtime, and later revealed she was dragged by the arm by educators — absolutely unacceptable. I found her lying alone while others played, with no emotional support. The food was poor (boiled plain pasta, plain bread all the time) the room is left freezing with kids in T shirts and staff in warm jackets, and there were no proper nap facilities — just a shared couch for 20 kids. Despite withdrawing her weeks ago, unauthorised payments were taken and my emails were ignored, the bond still hasn’t been returned (its been a month). This wasn’t care — it was neglect. I hope no other child goes through what mine did.

Been waiting for a slot for my daughter for the last 1 year. Every time they say we are prioritising the existing families for their siblings. Bulshit excuse of not having much movement. They are only rotating existing families. The management is worse. Every time a new person on the reception had to explain them which they told they are unaware.

Not a parent of the service but put in my application for end of year enrollment and enquired a couple of times since start of year. Was neither satisfied nor comfortable with the customer service - they lost my application form the last time I went and told me different things each time I went. Decided not to go with this service because the only thing they went on about was how packed they are with a suddenly long waitlist, instead of how much focus the centre will place on the child. Did not leave a positive impression on their attitude and care. I could have sourced other childcare centres earlier instead of having to scramble to find one now urgently.

I started my daughter here in 2023 and she screamed the whole orientation. The staff were amazing and put in so much time and effort with her. She now loves the centre has a friendship circle and begs to see her educators on a weekend. At one stage she had a small fracture in her arm and I had a personalised card from all her friends dropped to me at my workplace. I recently attended an open day and could see the amazing relationships staff have built. It’s so reassuring to see my daughter so happy!! Director is amazing with her. Always up for a chat on the way in or out and addresses me concerns as I raise them. Isla adores her. I would recommend this centre to anyone looking for childcare.
