Our experience at Mary Campbell Preschool has been awesome and amazing for our family. From the very beginning, the staff have felt more like family than educators. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine care for the children (and parents!) is something truly special. They’re always there — with a smile, with the support, with understanding — and it shows in everything they do. Our daughter absolutely loves going every po in day, and as a parent, I could not ask for a better environment for her to learn, grow, and feel safe. Thank you to every member of the team for your love, dedication, and for being such a beautiful part of our lives. We are so grateful to have found this place — a true gem in Maroubra.

A Truly Special Place We absolutely love Mary Campbell Preschool in Maroubra! All three of our children have attended, and we couldn’t imagine a more caring, nurturing, and supportive environment for them to grow and learn. Being a family-run daycare for over 40 years, there’s a real sense of warmth and experience that shines through in everything they do. The educators are incredible — so kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. Every child is treated as unique and special, and our kids have always felt safe, loved, and encouraged. We especially love the way they introduce different cultural celebrations each week. It’s such a beautiful way to teach children about diversity, respect, and the world around them. Our kids come home excited to share what they’ve learned! Mary Campbell is more than a preschool — it’s a place where children thrive and families feel supported. We’re so grateful to be part of this wonderful community!

Highly recommend Mary Campbell Pre-School!! I’ve sent both of my children here for the past 5 + years , they take such good care of the children and have a genuine passion for facilitating each individual child’s growth and development. I have tried larger day care facilities in the past and nothing compares to the care that is given by the educators at MCP.
Mary Campbell Preschool was built in the 1970’s by Michael Campbell when the Campbell family moved to Sydney and found nowhere they felt comfortable leaving their two youngest children. With the inspired idea to create their own preschool the “Mary Campbell Preschool Dream” was started, beginning with the hopes of two rooms for 3 to 5 year olds.
Since the beginning Mary Campbell has witnessed many changes to the preschool her husband built for her family, from the changing of the play structure to the addition of a new room, one thing has never changed – the most important thing is the children. Mary’s hope was to put the children first and to give them experiences and memories they will cherish forever.
Mary still lives upstairs and enjoys hearing about each day from both her daughters, who now run the pre school, as well as stories of old children all grown up and coming back with their own kids.

Our curriculum is based around the encouragement and stimulation of the children, building their confidence in learning and playing through all aspects of their lives, and working with families to make it a safe and secure environment for everyone to enjoy.
