I can’t say enough good things about The Rumpus Room Daycare. As a single mum, finding a place where my son Vinnie feels safe, loved, and excited to go each day means the world to me. Every member of the team is so kind and welcoming, their bubbly personalities and uplifting words have such a positive impact on both of us. They constantly reassure me that I’m doing a great job with my son, and that encouragement goes a long way. It’s clear they genuinely care, and that makes all the difference. I always leave knowing that Vinnie is living his best life, learning, laughing, and enjoying every moment in their care. Thank you all for creating such a beautiful, supportive environment. You’re not just a daycare — you’re a community we’re so lucky to be a part of.

Response from the owner 25 May 2025

Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and touching words Leah. It means the world to us to know that our centre has become a place where both you and Vinnie feel supported, valued, and truly at home. As a single mum, your trust in us is something we deeply respect and never take for granted. Seeing Vinnie thrive—laughing, learning, and enjoying each day—is exactly why we do what we do. Your recognition of our team’s warmth and encouragement is so appreciated, and we’re thrilled to know it’s made a positive impact on your journey as a parent. We’re so proud to be part of your community and to walk alongside you in these precious early years. Thank you for being such a special part of The Rumpus Room family!

About The Rumpus Room Charlestown

At The Rumpus Room, we believe that a children’s centre should support all the essential values of the home, and provide the additional benefits of socialisation and more formal learning from trained staff.

We highly value the imagination of a child and want to give children as many opportunities to be wild in their imaginations. Children are encouraged to use their imaginations to create adventure, to explore their world and to make great friends through effective group activities and play.

Our brand new centre is now open in the heart of Charlestown. This centre boasts a hidden rainforest yard where children can adventure through the trees and along the creek, and purpose built facilities designed to be a place that children love to come to throughout the week.

You are welcome to visit the centre during opening hours; our Parent Liaison, Early Childhood Teachers and Educators, would love to show you around and chat about what we may be able to offer you and your child. Book a tour today!

The NSW Government offers funding to subsidise the cost of preschool in long day care. For 3-year-old’s this is between $423-$769 and for 4-year-olds between $1,783-$2,563. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.
