These workers are genuinely nice people who care about quality, took extra time explaining maintenance for coating

The team at Story House Southport are hands down the most amazing. We felt heard and supported from the moment we began the enrolment process right through to our children’s very first day. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly accommodating with all of my questions (and there were a lot!), and they were so understanding of how nerve-racking it feels to join a daycare for the very first time. Their open communication and genuine empathy have made the transition so much easier for us as first-time parents. The same level of care flows through to the absolutely amazing educators in the rooms. Every single one of them greets me as I walk through the door, taking the time to ask how my child’s night or morning has been. They are warm, nurturing, patient, and of course incredibly knowledgeable in what they do. You can feel how much they truly care. I cannot recommend this service enough, especially if you are looking for a place that feels like a home away from home. They have welcomed us with open arms and treat us like family. Story House Southport has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our children.

I am so incredibly grateful for the beautiful educators at Story House Southport who supported my son throughout his Early Learning journey. This was our 3rd centre on the GC and by far the best! Im the first to say I can be a ‘helicopter’ mum and every single educator made sure not only my son was happy but that I felt safe and secure leaving him in their care. Forever grateful 💓

UNSAFE CHILDCARE CENTRE TO OUR CHILD!! This is the worst childcare centre on the Gold Coast!!!! If we could we would give zero stars to this place! The reason we left this Centre is because my son was smashed inside his left eye with a broom handle by an educator!!!! The educator left my child unsupervised playing while she was cleaning the floor with a long handled broom positioned at my child’s eye level, which was extremely dangerous and could have resulted in a permanent disability where my son could have lost his entire eye vision!! Educators must be well trained and experienced to know that a child does not know what is dangerous, it is the entire responsibility of the adult in charge to ensure the child’s safety at all times and at this Centre our son was under the care of a very inexperienced educator who was negligent!!! The educator did not perform her duty of care to follow safety protocols and safety strategies to have kept my child safe while using cleaning equipment. This educator did not move my child and other children to another area where my child could have been safe and far away from the long handled broom, my child was not protected at all at this childcare centre! On top of this all, we also suffered a huge disrespect from the Centre’s manager Kelly on our last day at this Centre. She was raising her voice at me in front of my young child, this was absolutely abusive! I had to say to her to stop as my young child did not deserve to see that from her! The manager Kelly should have respected the fact that I have the rights to not wanting to talk to her. This whole situation is under the investigation of the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority now. We just wanted to share our true and awful experience and warn parents about how unsafe this childcare was to our child, as we would have liked knowing it too. We, as parents, do not recommend this childcare centre to anyone! We wish we had NEVER stepped foot in this place!

This childcare centre provides exceptional care and education in a welcoming, family-focused environment. The educators are attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. The chef also deserves special mention — the meals are healthy, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared, helping children build a positive relationship with food. A truly outstanding early learning centre that supports every aspect of a child’s growth.

We wish I could give zero stars to this daycare. Last year, after so many cases of abuse coming out about daycares, I didn’t want to leave a one-star review because we are not the type of people who post negative ratings. But after seeing everything that has been happening, we decided it was important to share our experience. Our son attended this daycare for about two weeks, and we had to take him out because one of the caregivers hit him, pinched his arm, and left him with a huge bruise. After we confronted the caregiver, the next time we dropped him off, our little boy was so terrified he begged me, “Dad, I don’t want to stay here, I don’t want to stay here.” He was so scared that we didn’t leave him. When we went to the reception, the same caregiver came out yelling and insulting my son, saying he had no manners, while he was crying and screaming in fear. I told the receptionist she was a witness to what happened and asked her to support us in making a complaint, but she simply said she hadn’t seen anything. Later, when we messaged the director, she also denied seeing or knowing anything. Parents, please think twice before sending your children to this daycare. One of their caregivers abused my son, and I want other families to know what kind of people they are leaving their children with.

my child have attended Story House Southport for a year now. In the past few months, we have noticed significant positive changes including increased outdoor playtime, better supervision, enhanced cleanliness, improved nappy care, and timely updates on the Story Park app. These changes have made my child more active, socially engaged, and comfortable, giving us peace of mind. Thank you for your dedication to providing a nurturing environment for all the children.

Both our kids have attended Storyhouse since they were babies. It's a lovely feeling being able to leave your kids knowing they will have a great day, are safe and well cared for. The educators care for the kids like their own, and also treat us parents as friends. A special mention to the manager Kelly, who is kind and professional, and has excellent communication. She addresses any concern or question I have with kindness and grace, and will even reply to my random after-hours emails within a few minutes. A great supportive environment with fun events and spectacular food too. Couldn't be happier with Storyhouse Southport

Been sending my son here since the start of my childcare journey and it’s been the best childcare ever for my son to learn and grow in, I moved away for a bit to Brisbane and sent him to a childcare up there but we are back down here again now and I’ve never seen him happier, the educators are absolutely amazing- the communication with staff is so good- the environment and playgrounds are A1 I love this childcare . 10/10 recommend
