I must say this is the most fussy child care I have ever come across in Sydney. While most of the staffs are pretty nice, the management is very rude and do not seem to understand the problems parents go through. All child care centres call up the parents when the child has a fever. But they check the temperature with 3 or 4 different Thermometers before calling the parents in the middle of work to come and pick up the child immediately. Thermometers are machines, they play up. This child care centre only uses one machine, do not reply to emails with complains. I was literally called every single week to have my child picked up. I do understand when the child gets sick for sure I would pick her up as I am her mom. But it cant be every single week without fail. I reach there with my own Thermometer, it does not show any fever, I take her to the doctor immediately, the doctor's Thermometer does not show any fever. The staffs are reluctant to measure the temperature in front of the parent. They just show us the photo. They would even call me to pick her up when she had no fever but a little cough and that she was crying in the corner. Isn't it the staff's duty to console a child when she is crying? And the cough for children continue for months even with medication. Does that mean the child is not allowed in the day care for months? I was literally just paying the money there, but my child was always with me at home as I was not able to go to work due to 24 hour exclusion, doctor' s clearance policy and all. I was even told that they could question the doctor's registration if the doctor gave a clearance certificate and the child was contagious. They talked about this $20,000 fine and bla bla which I was not interested in hearing.
I was not going to write my story here in public as I already got my child out of there. But what triggered me to do this is the bond deduction at last. I have dealt with numerous child cares, never have I ever heard any of them deducting the bond unless the child did some damage to the property. Here, they did not do their job properly and deducted 40% of my bond saying that the centerlink did not pay them. Later when centerlink informed them that they have paid everything that I was entitled, then they refunded my full bond. I am just really shocked.

Thank you for your feedback Rajani. Yes it is unfortunate that your child kept getting sick. As you were aware at the time of your enrolment, we do have a very strict sickness policy and it is our duty and care to take care of everyone's child. We ensure what is best practice. I am so sorry that you lost time from your job, but children come first in our world. I am sure you can understand this.
Regarding the thermometer, we use 3 different types to read a temperature for your clarification.
I am glad Centerlink sorted out your finances and we were able to return your bond. Sometimes Centerlink can not work as quickly as we need, as they are very busy.
We wish you and your child all the very best and hope she will one day settle in a centre that you are truly happy with.
