This is an amazing preschool, with lots of genuine care. They're invested in every child, and it's a safe and welcoming environment.

Our daughter has been at KU Concord for nearly 3 years including 2 years in the preschool room. The child care industry is of course a tough one to operate in - with staff turnover, regulations etc etc. In this context, we really want to commend and recommend KU Concord. Firstly their culture is to take the voice of the child seriously. We can see this in the way staff interact with children. I have always observed positive and patient interactions between staff and children. Inclusion of different perspectives, and meeting your child where they are at developmentally is all part of their approach. They’ve also been covering material specifically about supporting children’s rights in the preschool room, which was good to see. We’ve had an excellent experience with staff consistency across the centre for the time we’ve been there. I am confident the preschool teacher along with the other qualified staff are supporting the children’s growth through their play based learning approach. They do listen and tailor their approach to parent’s feedback. Their meal planning is excellent and our occasional feedback on their meals has been incorporated by the Centre’s cook. We are also confident they take child safety seriously. They have been regularly covering a range of age appropriate child safety learning materials with the children. I could not commend them more for taking initiative on this important topic. Of course no day care is there to replace the role of the parent at home, and new parents looking at any centre do need to keep this in mind. Overall, we can only highly recommend KU Concord to parents for its child-centred approach, consistency and interaction with parents.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with KU Concord Children’s Centre. The educators are warm, professional, and genuinely care about the children’s well-being and development. The welcoming atmosphere has helped our child form meaningful bonds with both classmates and staff, and the preschool room provides a nurturing and engaging space filled with creative activities and a strong focus on learning through play. We particularly appreciate the efforts of the centre’s administrators in delivering high-quality childcare aligned with parents’ expectations. Communication with families is not only responsive but also proactive and thoughtful. The use of development goal surveys and genuine collaboration with families has been incredibly rewarding. Since joining KU Concord, our child’s growth and development have been remarkable. We highly recommend KU Concord to any family seeking a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for their little one.

About KU Concord Children's Centre

Welcome to KU Concord Children’s Centre!

At KU Concord, we are committed to ensuring that all children at our centre are provided with the best learning and educational opportunities possible, within a warm and welcoming environment.

The staff and families from our centre come from a wide variety of social and cultural backgrounds, which we acknowledge and celebrate daily. We highly value input from all families and encourage families to participate in the development of our program by sharing their knowledge and ideas.

At KU Concord, we are proud of our reputation within the local community of providing rich education and care that concentrates on individual children in a family-focussed and supportive way.

Our centre is a welcoming and nurturing space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences – a space where children are supported to be their own, unique selves, growing and developing a sense of belonging and empowerment.

Our program offers children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities, each specifically designed to promote children’s confidence as capable, active participants in their own learning. Children are presented with a range of activities including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing.

We greatly value the strong relationships between our staff, children and families, and we look forward to the opportunity of including your family in the life of our centre.

In addition to the high-quality well-rounded programs we offer, all KU centres are also encouraged to develop an area of focus.

At KU Concord, we focus on multiculturalism. We have a multicultural team and cater for a wide variety of cultures in the community.

We incorporate this into our program through activities such as celebrating cultural events with families and staff and interaction in children’s first languages.

We feel that the children benefit from this focus, because it helps them understand and interact with each other and teaches them tolerance and kindness. It also helps children develop an understanding of their local and wider community and an appreciation for other cultures.
