About the curriculum

About the curriculum

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and tailored to meet the developmental needs and interests of each child. We foster children’s learning through intentional teaching, children’s interest and spontaneous experiences, we support children’s growth across all learning areas: social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative. We integrate nature, community engagement, and cultural learning into our daily practices to enrich every child’s early education journey.

The centre champions Integricare’s purpose to enable children, families and communities to experience the love of Jesus, as well as North Strathfield’s core mission objectives.

Firstly, the pursuit of excellence in early learning to ensure that these most crucial developmental years for the children are full of learning opportunities. Secondly, North Strathfield staff endeavour to equip and care for families holistically – going the extra mile to engage and support children and their families. Thirdly, North Strathfield Early Learning Centre prioritises community engagement, regularly partnering with local initiatives in the Inner West.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

Integricare's Early Learning Centre North Strathfield views the family as a child’s primary teacher. Educators work in partnership with families for the best interests of every child. We believe that families are a child's first and most important teachers. We welcome and value parent involvement through regular communication via Storypark, face-to-face conversations, and family events. Your insights, feedback, and participation help us create a collaborative, supportive community that benefits every child.

The centre provides a developmental portfolio for each child that documents their learning, interests and friendship groups. It also offers a rich array of information resources and an online parent portal where families can stay up to date with activities and events.

To further support families, the centre organises supported playgroups. This provides a structured and positive learning environment in which children can socialise. It’s also a great way for parents to meet and share their experiences.

Every supported playgroup is facilitated by trained early childhood and family support workers. The team can refer and link families to health and community services and the centre partners with specialist services where needed to give appropriate support.

The centre has Family Workers, who support families with children between the ages of 0 and 8 years. By conducting comprehensive assessments, Family Workers are able to help families identify their immediate needs and then support them through a case management process. The centre also provides a home or outreach visiting service for children and family members.

This beautiful daycare has supported my girls from babies to preschool graduation. There is such a loving, homely atmosphere and the outdoor area is big, shaded and safe. The staff have become like extended family and always made my daughter feel known and loved. They have played a key role in developing her confidence and character. I am so grateful for finding this centre.

We chose Integricare North Strathfield for our son as the staff immediately made us feel relaxed, welcome and at home, right from the first tour. The Educators are very attentive and take the time to get to know each individual child. Our son loves his Educators and feels very comfortable and happy to attend daycare, which is such a relief for us as parents. The kids enjoy creative play-based learning and lots of outdoor time. Our son also loves the food - thanks Chef! The Centre is culturally inclusive and actively celebrates the diversity of the kids and their families. I can highly recommend Integricare North Strathfield.
