My 2-year-old daughter started at Thornbury Learning Centre at the beginning of this year. I wanted to write about my wonderful experience. I am a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in private practice and I am particularly focused on attachment. I was very fussy in selecting a centre for my daughter’s care. I have been so pleased with TLC and can highly recommend them. I was anxious about separating from my daughter and the staff have had so much patience and have been so supportive. They are extremely experienced, dedicated and confident, with some of the staff having been there for over 20 years. They allowed me to take my time over several weeks to slowly get my daughter familiar with the space and staff.<br><br>She now loves attending daycare and she's blossoming developmentally. I'm so grateful from the bottom of my heart. It puts me at ease knowing she is so well cared for. She loves doing the varied and stimulating arts and crafts activities which are always on offer. She has formed warm connections with staff and peers. Class sizes are very small and ratios good.

We feel so grateful to have Steph and Lori caring for Louella. Before she started, she was quite shy around other children and much more comfortable around adults — but since being in their room, her confidence has grown beautifully. She now happily engages with other kids and comes home talking about her little friends, which has been such a joy to see. Her vocabulary has absolutely exploded over the past few months. She comes home with so many new words, songs and little experiences that I simply couldn’t replicate on my own. It’s clear she’s learning every day in a nurturing, stimulating environment. Steph and Lori are calm, attentive and genuinely invested in the children. We couldn’t ask for better educators.

TLC is the best! They are all so friendly & caring from the moment you step into the centre. The blue room staff have been amazing to our 11 month old and it’s the best feeling knowing that our little one loves being there! I swear sometimes she’d rather stay there than come home at the end of the day… I highly recommend! I can’t speak more positively of the centre.

Could not recommend TLC more highly. If your priority is having your child cared for and looked after like they would be at home then it is the centre for you. The staff are wonderful and many of them have been there for a long time. The centre has a warm welcoming vibe and both our girls settled beautifully into the nursery room.

My child has been at TLC for 18 months now. He took a while to adjust and the care given by the educators was above and beyond. They really listen to the children's needs.

We could not have been happier with the experience we had at the centre. We had two children (2 and 4) for a few months while we temporarily relocated to Australia. If not for the move we would have happily kept our kids there for years to come! Each and every teacher showed such love, commitment and care with our girls from day 1. Our children's seamless insertion into the centre and comfort from the get go is a testament to the team's love and attention. I felt safe dropping them every day knowing they would be looked after and cared for with the teachers immediately recognising and responding to the unique needs of two very different children. I was so impressed with the centre, each day the girls came home animated with the fun activities they had engaged in. Could not recommend me, thank you Thornbury!

Very happy with TLC. The staff are supportive and attentive to the kids. We changed from another daycare centre that felt too corporate and business focused. TLC has a welcoming and homely atmosphere, it feels like I am dropping my kid off with extended family, he loves it there! They focus on the individual child and their interests rather than ticking boxes and forcing pre planned activities. As a parent I feel part of a community and as a family we have been warmly welcomed and taken care of. If you want a relaxed, child-centric, family friendly and wholesome experience for your precious little ones… this is the place.

I would rate this centre instantly 5 stars as I went to this centre as a child, as did my brother. I had no problems being at this centre I always remember feeling comfortable as a child here and coincidently my son goes here now and gets taught by the same teachers that taught me. My son looks forward to coming to the daycare here, he loves it very much!

TLC is a special place for us. It’s a beautiful community that makes us feel like we have an extension of our village. Educators are lovely, knowledgeable, and take a real interest in building a relationship with families. Educators have always been helpful, providing guidance and information at critical points of our children’s development. Our kids have thrived here and love the centre. Highly recommend TLC, if you’re looking for more than just childcare duties.
