We have had a fantastic experience at Good Start Chelsea Heights. We couldn’t be more grateful to have found such a nurturing and supportive environment. The staff have been incredible—always listening to our requests and making us feel comfortable dropping off our babies each time. It’s such a relief knowing they are in caring hands, and we’ve seen so much growth and happiness in them since joining. Thank you to the amazing team for everything you do!

About Goodstart Early Learning Chelsea Heights

Children aged 6 weeks to 5 years at Goodstart Chelsea Heights are cared for in a fun and stimulating environment. Qualified educators encourage children to learn and grow using sensory and play-based learning programs. The children are exposed to a wide range of experiences and supported to grow into confident learners ready to take the big step up to school.

Indoors there are three age-specific rooms offering plenty of resources and activities. Imaginative play is encouraged in the family play area, arts and crafts help to develop creative thinkers, while books, a construction area, and puzzles keep children active.

Outside, the age-appropriate spaces give the children ample learning opportunities to explore. Rockery, bridges, swings, a mud kitchen, a veggie patch and pet chickens enhance the children’s awareness of their environment and help them learn about sustainability. Slides, sandpits, and ride-on toys keep the children engaged while developing key social and motor skills.

Centrally located in Chelsea Heights on Piper Drive, the centre is close to schools, shops and bus stops, there is onsite parking and a designated drop-off and pick-up area for those busy times. Why not book a tour of this caring and collaborative centre today?

Curriculum and programs

Curriculum and programs

The educators at Goodstart Early Learning follow an evidence-based curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Informed by world-leading research, practices and techniques, the curriculum encourages the children’s natural curiosity and engages them in their learning journey.

As the children move through the different rooms in the centre, the curriculum evolves with them. The educators set goals for the children and celebrate as they reach their milestones. At every stage, the educators are tailoring the curriculum and goals to each child’s individual needs.

The curriculum involves different types of learning experiences and styles. From child-led learning to sessions guided by educators, the children participate in small and large group sessions as well as individual play. Most importantly, the children learn through play, developing social skills, confidence and independence in addition to more formal academic skills.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.

The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.

The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.

Meet the team

The educators hold relevant qualifications, including the Kindergarten and Preschool Program teachers who are university qualified. The educators are lifelong learners, participating in regular and ongoing professional development to enhance their skills. They are encouraged to upskill, learning about the latest research and thinking in the sector. They can then bring this knowledge back to the centre to share with their colleagues for the benefit of the children.

An amazing centre with a superb, long-serving staff that bring you into the centre like one of the family. Our daughter has gone from strength to strength at Goodstart Chelsea Heights. We have seen her grow in her confidence exploring the yard and interacting with her other toddlers, and she is so well looked after by the brilliant staff. It’s a testament to how well she’s looked after when she is happy to be dropped off in the morning and they know her favourite breakfast. We feel we get a personal experience and can trust the centre with the care of our child. We hope to pursue kinder here also before starting school. Thank you to all admin and room staff, you’re all fantastic.
