I came to East West Child Care Centre as a Student for placement and everyone in the centre has been absolutely amazing to me. Everyone is welcoming, friendly and professional. Most importantly, the children are genuinely happy. I've been to a few centres before during my placement and I can confidently say that children and teachers here have the most family-like bond I have ever seen. Take it from someone who has seen the day to day for 2 months, I can reassure all parents that sending your children to East West Child Care Centre is going to be one of the best decisions you can do for your child's young journey. Thank you Ruth, my mentor, and everyone else for 2 months at East West CK. I will never forget it!

East West is an absolute gem of a childcare centre! My 2 children attended East West over a period of about 10 years. The kids absolutely LOVED their educators and the centre's educational approach has helped shape their very strong sense of connection and place in our local community. The educators are second to none in their passion, wisdom, warmth, collegiality and evidence-informed approaches. They support kids to play, care for each other and take life-expanding/ well-pitched risks. East West's kinder program is also unlike any other with routine excursions to help kids connect and learn from Country as well as each other.

My sons attended EWCC during the late 80's and early 90's. An awesone centre with wonderful child care professionals, creative activities and a variety of healthy meals. Staff even escorted children to the local kindergarten. Great to hear it's still going strong. Bravo!

The educators at East West create a warm, family-like atmosphere, where their dedication extends far beyond basic care – they are truly invested in each child’s growth and success. A standout feature of the 3 and 4 year-old kinder program has been the weekly community excursions. The program has clearly laid a strong foundation for the next stage of our daughters educational journey. East West beautifully balances a nurturing, supportive environment with a focus on strong educational outcomes. The educators are consistently warm and welcoming, providing encouragement and support to both children and parents. Their commitment ensures that each child’s early years are joyful, empowering, and full of valuable learning experiences. Our daughter often speaks of her time there. Would recommend!

We were lucky enough to have our son attend East West for 5 years and it was (and still is) an amazing cornerstone to our family and greater community. The educators at the centre have an incredible breadth of knowledge and experience, their thoughtful approach to the nuances of each child in the centre is like nothing I've ever heard of before. East West embraces a child-led learning philosophy which was incredible for our very inquisitive son, he came home with tales of discovery and experiments well beyond what we ever anticipated he'd be doing. The kinder programme is such an asset to the centre and enables the kids to familiarise themselves and build confidence within the local community, preparing them for the imminent school years, our son transitioned into school smoothly with a clear understanding of self and his surrounds. I would recommend East West in a heartbeat to anyone who wants to see their child benefit from being part of a nourishing community.

East West is a very rare and special place. It is a child led environment enabled through considerable thoughtfulness and developmental understanding from the educators. Many staff have been with the centre for many years and it shows. It is a lovely community to be part of - for kids and parents alike.

My children attended East West over 30 years and both they and us loved the centre. The staff were fantastic, inventive, progressive, imaginative and so caring with the children. When my daughter started having children, East West was the first and only choice! It has lived up to her and her partner’s ,expectations and, of course, mine as a grandparent. The centre continues to excel in all areas. It is such a wonderful service and the staff is what makes it so special. Recently there has been built a new playground structure in the backyard which is exceptional. Cheers and best wishes to all staff.

This is a very special and unique early learning service! When they say integrated they really mean it, and in my years of teaching and research I've not seen anything like it. The children are happy and confident, and the staff are deeply engaged, welcoming and passionate. It's not easy to operate a service that runs against the typical mould, but the team here do it in such a calm and straightforward manner. Getting to come in and visit is such a delight! (And I haven't even commented on the amazing job they have done/are doing with the physical environment!)

A family environment with genuinely caring educators offering a creative and energetic approach to early childhood education. Educators are universally warm, observant and keen to support parents. There is a commitment to engaging with the broader community and a keenness to include parents. Being a parent led cooperative the focus is genuinely on the children (not profit) and making their formative years joyful, empowered and fun! My daughter thrived. Thank you.
