I would highly recommend Frobel Carlton to anyone looking for early childhood education and care. The team there are all wonderful and supportive. The facility as well is amazing and the educators do so much work making activities for the kids to learn in a fun and safe environment.

The team at Froebel Carlton is amazing. I have two daughters attending the centre, one in the Nursery room and one at Kinder, and I couldn't be happier with the level of attention and care provided. I highly recommend the centre!

I honestly can’t put into words how grateful we are to the entire Froebel Carlton team.

We found Froebel Carlton after our daughter had a really traumatic experience during orientation at another childcare centre. As parents, we were understandably nervous about starting again, but from the moment we met Hope, the Centre Director, we immediately felt reassured. Hope was so warm, professional and transparent, and we left our tour feeling confident that we had found somewhere our daughter would be truly cared for.

From day one, Hope, Lydianna, Wing, Nadia, Maria and the whole nursery team have been absolutely incredible. They have supported our daughter through her anxiety, been so patient and caring with her, and helped make what could have been a very difficult transition into childcare such a positive experience.

They have kept us updated every step of the way, listened to us as parents and worked with us as a team to make sure our daughter felt safe, comfortable and supported. Seeing how quickly she has settled in and how happy she is now honestly means the world to us.

The care and genuine love the team has shown our daughter has been amazing to see. We feel so lucky to have found Froebel Carlton and could not recommend the centre and its wonderful team highly enough.

Thank you to everyone at Froebel Carlton for making such a big difference to our daughter and to our family.

I wanted to share this experience because, looking back now with more parenting and childcare experience, I wish I had trusted my instincts earlier about some of the things I noticed at this daycare and the areas where I felt improvements could have been made. I am writing this as something that may encourage new parents visiting this centre to observe carefully and trust their own judgement. We toured this centre in mid-2023 and initially everything seemed okay. The children appeared generally comfortable during the first tour, and we enrolled our child right away and paid the deposit. However, during the orientation sessions shortly before our child was due to start (winter time, June/July), I became concerned. The balcony area where the children played felt freezing cold to me for that time of year. As soon as I entered with my child, many of the children crawled towards me and sought physical closeness. Several appeared too lightly dressed for winter, some had runny noses and coughs, and when their little hands touched me, they felt extremely cold. What stood out to me personally was that the children seemed very quick to approach unfamiliar adults (i.e., me), while I did not observe the same level of seeking closeness from educators on the balcony during that session. I do not know what this means and cannot comment on the reasons behind it, but it left an impression on me. I asked staff about the children’s clothing and was told that if parents forgot to bring jackets, that was the parents’ responsibility rather than the educators’. As a first-time parent then, I did not know what was considered normal practice, but this response (or the way it was framed) did not sit too well with me. The children appeared unwell to me, it was a very cold day, and their bodies felt extremely cold when they touched me. As a parent, I personally would not feel comfortable leaving my child outdoors for hours in that condition. I also observed one child standing outside on the balcony area appearing distressed and wanting to come inside for quite a long time, but no educator responded initially. When I asked about it, I was told children were sleeping inside. I said that the child seemed to clearly want to come in, and after I raised this concern, the door was opened and the child was allowed back inside. Later, another child was brought out after waking from a nap. To me, the child also appeared underdressed for the weather — no socks, clothes not adjusted properly after sleep, and no warm outer layer. I remember thinking that even if parents had forgotten to provide extra clothing, there may still have been opportunities to help adjust the child’s clothing so they could feel warmer and more comfortable. After that orientation day, we immediately informed management that we had decided not to proceed. We lost a substantial deposit and never attended a single day. To management’s credit, the room educator later called us and was polite. However, I personally did not feel my concerns were explored or acknowledged in a way that reassured me. I recognise that this experience took place in 2023 and that practices, staffing, and procedures may have changed since then. I sincerely hope any concerns raised by families over time have been reflected on and addressed. At the same time, I still wanted to share this experience because what stayed with me was not only the physical environment, but the overall feeling I had during those orientation sessions. As a parent, I did not feel that the children’s immediate comfort, emotional needs, and individual cues were consistently at the centre of interactions in the moments I observed. I understand this was only my experience over a limited number of visits and may not reflect the experiences of other families. I was also a first-time parent then. But after visiting many childcare centres across Melbourne in the years since, I still feel that choosing not to continue was the right decision for our family.

We have been part of this wonderful Froebel Carlton since early this year, and wife and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warmth and dedication that makes this place truly special. The facility is impeccably clean and organised. It is such a fun environment, packed with engaging activities and creative play areas that my son looks forward to every single morning. I truely mean it !!. Most importantly, it is a safe space, giving us total peace of mind while my wife and I are at work. The educators are beyond incredible as they are genuinely caring, patient, and deeply invested in each child's individual growth. The management team is also top-tier. They are professional, approachable, and maintain excellent communication with parents. Choosing this centre was the best decision for our family. If you are looking for a place where your child will be loved, protected, and thrive, this is definitely it!

Froebel Carlton is been a family for 2 years I don't have enough words to describe the care, patience, support, and learning our daughter has received since she started kinder , we could feel she was in a happy place where she has been taken care of and treated with love, every time we asked how was her day she was so happy to tell us all the experiences she had during the day , at Froëbel Carlton kids learn Spanish as a second language which is amazing, the food provided by the chef is delicious and well curated, educators are extremely professional and kind , the center is very clean and well presented but most important every child is treated with the same values and respect. Now is time for a new chapter as is time to start school but Froëbel and the memories our daughter has made will always be printed in her heart. My boy was at Frobel Carlton for 2.5 years from 5 months. We only moved because we needed somewhere closer to home. He has been very settled at the centre and I think he was very well cared for. It feels safe, warm, playful, and very focused on the child’s welfare. I feel the educators are happy and very engaged with their work. I would recommend this centre to any parent.

A Wonderful Start to Our Daughter's Learning Journey Our daughter has been attending Froebel Carlton since she was just 5½ months old, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. As she prepares to transition to the toddler room, we feel incredibly grateful for the foundation the educators have provided. The educators are truly exceptional. They form genuine connections and bonds with each child, taking the time to listen and respond to individual interests. It's remarkable to witness how they create an environment that can shift seamlessly from peaceful and calm to a joyful hive of activity, with children smiling and giggling with delight. The learning experiences provided are consistently engaging and thoughtfully planned. The room is always beautifully set up with interactive play opportunities that encourage exploration and development. This year's themes have included – "Marvelous Me," "Little Engineers," "Little Zoologists," and "Little Botanists," The carefully planned excursions have been another highlight, clearly making a positive impact on the children's learning and confidence. We feel fortunate to have found a center that combines excellent facilities with truly caring, skilled educators who are dedicated to nurturing every child's potential. We have recommended this center to friends who now attend any family looking for quality care and early education.

Our daughter has been at frobel since she was 15 months old, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff have always been caring, professional, and dedicated, creating a nurturing environment where she has truly thrived. We’ve seen so much growth, confidence, and happiness in her over the years. As we reach the end of our time here, we’re genuinely sad to leave but extremely grateful for all the love and support she’s received. Highly recommend Froebel to any family looking for exceptional childcare.
