I had such a wonderful experience completing my early childhood placement at Goodstart Early Learning Bundoora-Bendoran Crescent. I feel incredibly grateful for the support and knowledge I received throughout my journey. This is truly a wonderful place for children to receive the best possible start, surrounded by caring, educated, and passionate staff who genuinely prioritise children’s wellbeing and development. It is also an amazing place for student educators like myself to be mentored while growing professionally. The children at the centre were incredibly bright, capable, curious, and advanced learners. It was beautiful to observe how confidently they communicated and engaged within their learning environments. You can genuinely see the positive impact the educators have on the children’s development. I also admired the strong partnerships the centre has built with families. The families were warm, welcoming, and open to conversations with me as a student educator, which made the placement experience even more meaningful. There is clearly a strong sense of trust and collaboration between the educators and families. A special shout out to Hayley, the Centre Director, who was always so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely a delight to talk to. Her warm and supportive nature made such a positive difference during my placement experience. Manouri, the Assistant Centre Director, was also incredibly hardworking, kind, and supportive throughout my time at the centre. I truly appreciated how much care and dedication she puts into both the children and the team. A huge thank you to Teacher Angela, my mentor, who shared so many valuable tips, tricks, and insights with me every single day. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about early childhood education, and I learned so much from observing and working alongside her. Teacher Mary offered wonderful leadership and always had thoughtful advice, guidance, and support whenever needed. The entire team of educators, teachers, and chef Liz created such a positive, collaborative, and nurturing environment for the children. I especially appreciated how carefully learning experiences, observations, and plans were reviewed, reflected on, and revised to genuinely support each child’s development, interests, and wellbeing. It was incredibly meaningful to observe and experience all of this from an outside perspective as a student. One thing I especially appreciated was the flexibility and understanding the team showed me during a personal emergency. They were incredibly supportive and accommodating without placing any added pressure on me, which meant so much during a difficult time. Their kindness genuinely made me feel cared for and supported. I truly felt like part of the team already, and I will always be grateful for how welcomed and included everyone made me feel from the very beginning. We are so grateful to be part of Goodstart Bendoran Crescent. From day one, it has felt like a genuine community rather than just a childcare service. The educators build such strong, caring relationships with the children and families, and it’s clear they truly know and value each child as an individual. The attention to detail in the learning spaces and daily experiences really stands out, and communication is always thoughtful and consistent. I recently completed a 10-day placement at Goodstart Early Learning – Bendoran Crescent, and it was truly a rewarding experience. The educators are passionate, professional, and incredibly supportive. A special thanks to Semeel and Breanna for their guidance—your mentorship made a lasting impact on my learning journey. What stood out to me most, beyond the high-quality teaching, was the strong focus on children's safety and wellbeing. The centre is thoughtfully designed with see-through glass windows and partitions, which not only promote transparency and supervision but also create an open, welcoming space for both children and educators. The environment is warm, inclusive, and highly engaging for young learners. I felt very fortunate to be welcomed into such a positive and secure setting, and I’m excited about the opportunity to return as a volunteer and continue learning from this amazing team. Highly recommended for families and professionals alike looking for a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for children.

Fantastic early learning childcare centre. My son began in the toddler room and is now in the 3 year old kinder room. During that time the incredible Educators have continued to be friendly, approachable, passionate and dedicated to the learning and development of the Children. When my son began his journey the Educators when out of their way to make him feel safe and comfortable in the amazing environment created. The development and confidence he has gained is all due to the amazing Educators and the support they continue to given him. Special thanks the Rachel and Liz who do an amazing job behind the scene. Incredible childcare centre. You can see how passionate the staff are about educating children. It is so wonderful to know my child is truely cared for and not just a number.
