Our centre features four rooms: a nursery for our babies, a stimulating toddler space, and two classrooms for our three- and four-year-old kinder program, delivered by qualified early childhood teachers.
Children love exploring our three spacious, sustainable yards. They feature veggie and herb gardens, play equipment, wooden decks, a fort, sandpits, worm farms, digging patches, climbing areas, water features, and plenty of shade. We also serve nutritious dinners before home time!
We invite you to a tour, so let us show you around. You’ll find us near East Bentleigh Primary School, DFO Moorabbin, and Moorabbin Train Station. We’re in a picturesque neighbourhood near shops, a main road, and public transport, so it's easy to access.

Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. They are encouraged to take the lead, developing their negotiation, risk taking, problem solving and social skills. The educators observe the children and help to challenge them by extending their learning and interests.
The educators recognise that every child is unique and that they bring their own needs, interests and strengths with them each day. The program is designed to be flexible to cater to these differing needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive at Goodstart.
Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.
Goodstart Early Learning employs qualified and skilled educators who are dedicated to making a difference to the children in their care. Hi there! My name is Brittany and I have been the Centre Director here at Goodstart Early Learning Bentleigh East since February 2013.
I have been working in the childcare industry since 2006 and hold an Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services and a Graduate Certificate in Prenatal and Postnatal Family Support. During my career I have had the opportunity to work with many different age groups.
I am passionate about early learning and I adhere to the principle that children learn best through play and sensory based experiences.
I pride myself on dedicating my time to ensuring our Centre is providing high quality care to all families in our community. The team I am fortunate to be a part of, shares my belief that building lasting relationships and working with families to meet the individual needs and interests of each child is critical to giving children the best possible start.

Our daughter has been attending Goodstart Early Learning Bentleigh East for the past 10 months, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the very beginning, the centre has felt like a second family. The educators are incredibly caring, supportive and genuinely invested in every child’s development.<br><br>They are always coming up with fun, creative and educational activities and we’ve been master by how much our daughter has learned and grown. She absolutely loves going to daycare- she even asks to go on the weekends!<br><br>The team is also so flexible and accommodating, especially when we’ve needed to add extra days at short notice. Knowing our daughter is so happy, safe and well cared for gives us complete peace of mind. We highly recommend Goodstart Early Learning Bentleigh East to any family looking for a nurturing, engaging, and supportive early learning environment.

As first-time parents, choosing a daycare for our son was a huge decision. We had no experience with childcare, but from the moment we toured this centre, we knew it felt right! We actually didn't tour any further centres. The genuine care and warmth from the centres manager Brittany & the nursery room educators stood out straight away & that feeling has only grown since.<br><br>The level of care the whole centre provides is exceptional, from nutritious meals to the relationship & bond they've developed with our son. Upon pick-up his educator's always take the time to tell us about his day, what he’s been enjoying, & how he’s developing. They never forget the small things he loves that make for a smooth drop off. It makes such a difference knowing he’s not just being looked after, but truly cared for.<br><br>They’ve been incredibly supportive through every stage, including helping us transition his naps. We've seen such amazing growth in his confidence, independence and overall development, especially meeting age appropriate milestones.<br><br>We don’t have family nearby, so having a team that genuinely cares about our son means more than I can put into words. They’ve become a real part of our village, and we’re so grateful we found them. I couldn’t recommend this daycare more highly.

Brittany (the centre manager) is amazing and I’ve yet to hear of anywhere that cares for babies better. Saw a 4y ago review about staff not listening; but my experience couldn’t be more different. Every bit of feedback I’ve shared over the years has been taken on board and staff have consistently gone out of their way to care for our kids and accommodate our needs.
